Following the same pattern of Slayers we might see Ryan and Cathal in the next Soul Exchange
I use her still for titans and farming, plus wars. She’s still fine even without LB.
Anyway I do have Ludwig, so my choice boils down to Alfrike and C-Finley.
Alfrike:

- I have 1.5k wizard emblems to give to her
- Cons:

- Ton of other purple projects, including Nyx (next to ascend) and Khepri. Louhi and Hannah are still in my roster untouched. Also only 5 tabards. She may get ascended in 2025.

- She may show in Fated Summon.

- I have Kullervo for Mindless and said Ludwig for VF wars tank. And Lu Bu. And Senan. Yeah.
Finley:
- Pros:

- Has a costume already, so looks like he’s going to hold for some time. Also more fun with ascending him.

- Still does job well.

- I have mats as soon as Damascus blade comes my way (have last one, and Oceanus claims it’s his. Who am I to argue with Titan?)

- Def Down good for titans.

- Could play nicely with Anne.
- Cons:

- Have Athena for titans and Morel for other fights.

- Situational - buffs are not as common lately, unless it’s reflect, which would also kill him.

- Not so many Ranger emblems in my possession.
I think I roll a dice then see. Because I really have a weakness for Alfrike.

don’t get too hype.
I agree with one of the possibilities (opinions from @BlackZed ) after you exchange your heroes for Ludwig or Alfrike. 2 weeks after SE , then they will be on nerf. LOL.

Alfrike has been nerfed already with newer heroes that can cast MA more consistently

So if Ludwig appears i am currently 1 short from 15 s1 and i’ll have to sacrafice one of following:
Red Hood
Russel
Morax
Any opinions advise … I lean towards Russel

I’d like to hear thoughts from ppl… I can squeeze out 15 souls so I can trade for someone… Debating between purple and green now so it will be either Ludwig or Cristobal.
Initially I thought it would Ludwig hands down, but I am a bit hesitating now…
Green: LotL, Grace, Atomos, Fogg, Tarlak (leveling now)
Purple: Kage, Xnolphod, Panther, Grimble, c.Freya, c.Obakan (leveling now)
The issue and problem with my green and purple 5* are probably similar - lack of firing power comparing to other colors.
The fated summon window does not address this issue as there is no green/purple hit 3 or hit all offering. I got Tarlak already (as need a titan hero) and will go for Onatel and Mitsuko next.
While Ludwig is amazing in rush war, I am not sure how often ppl use him in regular speed wars? I do 4-1 or 3-2 in most wars but purple I go for mono coz Xnol can charge everyone in 9 tiles. So frankly if I can get my heroes going, I win 90% of the fights in any case (which means Ludwig does not add as much value).
Last bit of info: my only taunt hero is Kara and I also have Motega from Magic family who is amazing.
Thoughts guys?
Ludwig for 15 souls is wishful thinking. I wouldn’t hold my breath for it…

I would pick Morax.
Russel is good. You should also keep Red Hood, because you need healers for the Contest of Element (Red)

I like Cristobal. That 2x charge can be pretty devastating. It does take time and patience to get to that 2x charge, but even at 1x, it’s still pretty good. You could also take a look at Gregorion, as he buffs the team with a critical hit buff.

I also want Ludwig if by some miracle he’s only 15 souls. People say the buff steal mechanics diminish his value by a lot, but they don’t acount for the fact that Ludwig’s buff has a fairly decent chance to become undispallable under the right circumstances, thus denying buff steal. And if he works his magic, it’s game over. Not to mention his worthyness in PvE fights where there’s no one to steal buffs and you can get him going with one mana pot. If he’s 15 souls, I’ll sacrifice my 3/70 heroes and also fully ascended Zulag and Richard in order to get him. But, as I said, I very much doubt he’ll be featured for 15, 20 or even 50 souls…
Steal and undispellable are two different mechanics i think
Not sure about that, but is seems natural that an undispellable buf can’t be removed. I might be wrong.
Edit: Took a quick look at M&M’s card (not exactly related, I know, but the first who came to mind), and it clearly mentions cleanseble ailments.
Edit#2: Diaochan’s minions also steal dispellable buffs only.
Who else is there?

Already have 2 copies Ludwig, but may not ascend second copy.
This SE brings hard choices. I could use Frigg, Finley, and Faline as well. That’s alot of F heroes…

How many heroes steal buffs anyway, Morlovia passive and Diochan?. Hatter can only steal the taunt not the mana bonus. The S5 dispel passive is probably more concerning.
Would you run Ludwig on defense in non VF? He’s not particularly ideal there.
As for him being there at 15, I would be very very surprised if he wasn’t at this point.

Depending on one’s roster. At this point, he might be an improvement over my washed out Xnol… for many many players out here, not in top 1000 alliances, Ludwig is an impossible pull and a real gamechanger. I’d be lucky enough to have anorher CoK 5* to pair him with.
