They will probably introduce some emblem offers at some point, as they did during halloween.

I’m just a few feeders short of maxing Gunnar’s costume and was thinking about it for Grimforest tomorrow. Glad to see someone else is on that same page so I know it’s at least a defensible idea. I haven’t used the costume yet, so I don’t know how it plays in practice. I’m basically leveling it because uncostumed Gunnar is still a fixture on my paladin teams, and the stat boosts will be helpful. Also giving him emblems now that I’m done with Sonya.

Same. I was SO upset last year about MN reviving those stupid moblings and casting her stupid minions and doing her stupid healing. I haven’t gotten to the really hard stuff yet - almost done with Normal - but this year, I’m bringing a “mother” of my own, and her name is Onatel! Take that, soup lady! (Also, please come join my roster. I’ve been saving EHTs since summer!)

@Halifax are you running mono for each level in advanced? I’m thinking of try mono teams for a some of them.

Would mono red for the final one be too crazy?

No, it’ll work well.
Just bring timestops to compensate mana control and try to get rid of mum first.

She is certainly less scary this year! Still annoying but our first encounter with her was terrifying.

I’m at province 10 in Advanced and still haven’t taken it off autoplay yet.

Been running my normal defence squad:

Gravemaker (+8)
Drake Fong (+7)
Yunan (+12)
King Arthur
Morgan Le Fay (+13)

I suspect at about Province 12-14 I will need to start playing levels. Then at about province 20 I think I may need to specialise some of my attack squads.

In summary, I doubt you’ll need to go all out for Mono. In fact you’ll probably get better value if you do divvy up the colour of the heroes to get better overall team synergy. Maybe a 3-2 stack with Green & Red or Blue & Red

I thought the same, but the last stage was a hard grind facing the whole xmas family. Much harder than all previous stages.

Why didn’t they have a family like the other event heroes?

None of the Seasonal Events have got Families (YET).

At present it seems to be just the Event Heroes which have families. I assume that eventually they will but for now… nothing.

Except for GM I can only dream of your team!

I’ve been using rainbow up to level 14 just to see how far I can push them. I’ll have to switch to at least a 3 - 2 stack soon but I’d like to try mono red against MN for the finale!

If you have Grazul, she’s fantastic vs. Santa in normal raids. Blocks him out completely. Chuck in a Mana controller for MoNo and it shouldn’t be toooooo bad.

Yep, or Marja, doesn’t matter.
Prevent the bosses especially Mum North from casting is the key.

So, I have just done Advanced so far. Not sure I will bother with normal? Maybe later?

Breezed through Advanced to Level 23 with no problems with a 3:2 stack based on the main tank.

However, hit a bit of a wall on the final level 24 and had a couple of failures.

Decided I should probably actually THINK about what I was doing, and changed my team to the one below. Finished with no issues.
Just sharing in case it helps anybody.

How many HP have the bosses in the last level in advanced mode?

It won’t.

I am currently stuck at the last stage of Legendary with Proteus > Lady of the Lake > Rigard > Lianna > Kingston…

The second last stage is quite easy (the one with Mother North surrounded by 4 swarms) but the last one is very hard. I can’t beat them even with every slot being shoved with all kinds of Mana Potions + one retry.

Really need that Mystic Rings though, otherwise I would have given up.

With Grimforest on and trials, good thing we have a month for the Christmas event.
