No rush, so having all the other more time-sensititve quests/trials/events out there to deal with means I’m sitting it out for the duration of Grimforest.
However, I got an Epic Hero token from an elemental chest, and pulled Rudolph. Made me happy, as I had no current Red hero to work on.
Ok, I need some help please. I have completed the lower level challenge and now at the last level of advanced. It’s been easy so far, but now I am stuck and just can’t get through the three last bosses. What would be my best team?
And what are the best battle items to take?
I have the following on max with emblems =
Onatel, Redhood, Richard, Kadilen, Domitia and Justice.
And 4*=
Rigard, BT, Kiril, Hansel, Grimm, Proteus, G.Jackal, Melendor, Wilbur, Sabina, L.John, Sonya, Tiburtus, Gormek, Caedmon, Wu Kong, Gadeirus, Chao
Thanks
I tried putting in Wilbur but then I can’t seem to find synergy that works well with him on board.
My team…
Proteus > Rigard > Lady of the Lake > Lianna > Kingston
I tried changing Lianna’s place for Wilbur and then I found myself severely lacking in damage dealers.
Tried changing Kingston with Marjana and while I now have two Fire heroes working damaging tiles onto Mother North and Buddy… I am still lacking in terms of sniper lol.
Ended up putting Proteus > Rigard > LotL > Lianna and Kingston back… but this time I took out Tornado and put in Time Stop instead.
Mana Potion > Small Mana Potion > Dragon Attack > Time Stop
Lianna and Kingston acts as snipers.
Kingston’s damage down IS EXTREMELY useful in getting through Round 1 to 3 with all my team still in tact. I was worried about Proteus actually… even at +11 he is still very squishy. But Kingston’s damage / attack down debuff really works well… making all the enemy’s attack fall down to the range of 150 something only.
Lady of the Lake is the MVP. I probably wouldn’t be able to get through without her.
It is a bit strange though… I pass Grimmforest using the same team with literally no problem at all. Still a bit hard but not that hard. However Santa’s Challenge truly put me in a lot of trouble. Not sure what went wrong as I think those two should be comparable in terms of difficulty.
But I’m glad its over. Now my Queen of Hearts have enough rings to rise to 4/80.
These Santa challenge boards are so totally and completely rigged it is pathetic. No matter what I stack, gems are almost completely the colors I don’t have. Green_Blue stack = red, yellow, purple tiles. OK, so let’s try stacking yellow+purple. Nope, now the boards are red, green, blue. This game has become nothing but a money grab to buy gems and roll 10,000 times to get a shitton of worthless and maybe a 4*. Sad that what was once a fun and playable game has devolved so far.
Got all the way throughbto advanced23 with
Chao 4/52
Magni 4/30
Marjana 4/28
Melendor +5
Tibertus +7
With mana pots and dragon banner as items.
I would go into the boos fight with everyone’s special charged and nuke the middle boss. Fill up with the mana pots and hit again and again (usually with magni) then the minions that are left are easy pickings… i am worried though with adv24 (havent tried yet but could really use the rewards).
Does anyone have the life totals of the last 3 heroes? Who should i take out first?
I took Kingston to combat the blue minions, Wilbur def down/up and Boldie attack/healing, Magni some blue fire power for santa and Hel, her mana block. Battle items - I don’t know why I had antedotes - extra mana pots would have been a much better idea .
The battle
I wasn’t paying 100% attention, and Kingston went down. Oops. Purple tiles were few and far between and my mana pots were also depleted. Why did I bring antedotes? .
I beat this year’s Santa’s challenge using 2 Boldtusks, Scarlett, Gormek and the traitor Wu Kong. Took a fair amount of luck to get the tiles to line up while all the ice blocks got in the way. I’m not sure if this is a strategy a relatively new player should copy since it felt much more dependent on luck than other strategies. Mana control via Proteus / Hel / etc. would always be a safer strategy. But if all you have available to you are Training Camp heroes, you do have a path to victory.
Key thing would be to pack Dragon Banners instead of antidotes since they flip Santa’s and Buddy’s debuffs. If only I could pack more than 5 banners then I wouldn’t have worried so much.
Beat the bosses in final stage of difficult mode with Wilbur, Scarlett, Anzogh, BT and Colen.
Mana pots, dragon banner, bomb and timestop.
MN first. Without her, it’s game over for Santa and Rudolph.
