New players should absolutely spend money (wisely) on pulls - it’s your greatest need at the beginning when Bane is your best card LOL. Over time that ROI decreases significantly, especially when you get TC20 up and running (and you are patient).
Yes, it will create an ascension item gap at some point - but then, maybe, that is where you should invest (calendar deals and guaranteed gem deals (500 for a cape and compass type thing), not he shop deals ‘with a chance’ at something useful).
