I beat the event and, truthfully, I liked it. It is admittedly not perfect though. The biggest con I have is the loot. As others have said, you should get two summons from levels 1-10. Levels 11-15 should be harder and ābonusā. I do think newer players should get the two free pulls per event. The trainer heroes are not an adequate pay off IMO.
This is significantly harder than the previous version. That being said, I still think CoK and some newer stuff is harder than this. I think what makes it seem so bad is comparing it to the previous masquerade. When compared to the other newer events, itās on par.
There definitely need to be things that challenge deep rosters and veteran players. I enjoyed having to think a bit and not auto play. That does mean there will be content that not every player can beat. That should be the case though. Whatās the point of the latest and greatest, not that I have that, if you only ever auto play with them? This is coming from a 4 year F2P.
Even if it means I canāt beat everything, I want to be challenged still. I think it was challenging enough, while still accommodating plenty of different ways to beat it.
Anyways, here is my team and the final stage (Glenda putting on the finishing touch):
I donāt normally mono, but tried it for this. It is admittedly a stacked team in terms of emblems, etc. all the elemental links of Raffaele, Glenda, and Athena played perfectly. Azmiaās passive kicks in enough to make the difference. Azmia was probably MVP. Raffaele is a monster though. Azlar would be my biggest pain, so aside from blue being probably my strongest color it also made Azlar a non factor.
No mana control aside from time stops (time freezes on 15) were enough. Otherwise aside from some mana pots and bombs I didnāt use much else. I donāt think I drained an item on any stage aside from bombs on 15. That was because the boards were not blue friendly at first and had to make accommodations. I would hardly call it an item heavy event though.
Athena did die on 13, but it was so late in the match it didnāt matter. I think two people died from a hit again on 14, but same situation. I made through 15 clean.
4 pulls netted me 2 4* dupes, a 3* dupe, and new Jahangir. I got a bonus chest which was kind of lame:
If blue stopped working I had some back up teams that were SUPER grindy. Would have won, but taken forever. I was trying to avoid that. Keys left me 1 short of a 5th summon.
Anyways, I am mostly a fan and will play it next time. I definitely think the loot structure should change though.
Good luck to those still going on at. If you need help I am sure someone in the FTP Rebellion page can chime in if you post your roster.
