Just downloaded line, next is search for alliance that uses it and needs a player, I need to be able to communicate with team members and game chat either isnāt working or other alliance member doesnāt check it. Be sad letting go of alliance , my son started it long ago, heās quit playing, I havenāt lolā¦
Better to go defense node or health node?
Defense>hp>attack
Defense makes sword minions tougher since they act as an extension of her health bar.
I fully ascended mine recently and I love her. For the last Grimmforest event, I replaced Proteus by her and it was really fun. I agree with bosses killing more than 1 minion with a single slash attack putting the team at risk if one of the boss can cast his special.
Sheās not maxed yet, so sheāll be sturdier after that. And I have a lot of sorcerer emblems.
I havenāt used her in raid/war yet, because I mostly go mono-color or maybe 2 colors and the fights are usually not long enough to take advantage of her (not speaking of fast tournament ofc).
I forgot to talk about titan. I find her really effective for preventing the titan to use his special, however if you start to have many minions, it takes quite some time for all minions to attack and you loose a few seconds over the whole battle. Especially for that last hit when you see the countdown and just canāt throw the last tiles you wanted!
Are you sure about this? I thought that minions got hp and atck and both depends on the same parameters of caster, so you need to bost hp to make them tougher. Please confirm me if how it works so I choose the right emblem path.
Yes, thatās correct, Minions are based on a percentage of HP of the Summoner, and have no Defense of their own.
However, the Defense of the Summoner still applies in determining how much damage a hit will do ā so increased Defense will reduce damage taken, and in turn make the Minion have less damage to absorb.
So either can effectively increase Minion sturdiness.
That said, Iād potentially favor HP these days, because DoT bypasses Defense, and there are increasingly a lot of DoT casters.
Higher HP is also a better protection from max health reduction, which could become a more common effect as well.
The only caveats to keep in mind with that are that Troops, both Mana and Crit, favor Defense; and Defense teams get a hidden 20% boost to Defense but not HP.
So some math might be needed to figure out how much difference any of these choices make either way.

Interesting thought. I was also thinking about this with all the DoT on the rise. Havenāt considered Max HP reduction thoughā¦ But still not sure wich is going to be more relevant, HP or def. Though DoT is on the rise, Snipers and tile damage are still staying relevant. Probably it depends on the hero and what they lack more of. At least I now feel less regretting choosing HP over def back when I had no clue about damage calculationā¦
My gut is itāll turn out not to matter that much.
Any time Iāve investigated the Talent Grid before, itās ended up looking more like an illusion of choice than an actual choice. The stat bumps do make some difference, but itās really not an extreme difference either way, whichever path you choose.
My impression is the game designers tried to make it hard to screw up.

I think you are right. Back when there was barely DoT, I think def was usually betterā¦ At least when you were able to give the hero a def stat above the average attack stat of attack heroes. But with more variety in special effectsand a tendency to release more balanced and less squishy heroes (at least that is my impression) it is going to get more even
Another tip is to use arrows whenever the swords are active when doing challenges. Itās fun to see the bosses missing the swords minions with their slash attacks.
Or even better, Pair her with Neith like I do, It is brutal to bosses. Theyāll never cast their specials because Neith also cuts their mana and blinds their slash attacks.
I Really think DoTs ar very powerfulā¦ the added HP really does not make a lot of difference. The better solution is to use cleansers like Zim or costumed Domitia to protect your defence against DoTs and keep buffing minions with Defence path.

Speaking of crunching numbers in your later post, I have been laboring over whether for most heroes attack path or shield path is ābestā. I feel like there is a right answer of which is ultimately more impactful. In other words, is it better to add some additional damage so your theoretical DPT (damage per turn is higher) or better to go defensive route so your theoretical DPM (damage per match) is higher due to added survivability. But then is the amount you gain in defense actually significant enough to withstand an additional tile, for example?
Iāve found no real conclusive answer anywhere for this. Iād love to make a video presenting this information for the benefit of the community if you were interested in collaborating on this?
One may want to use a 3* troop instead (for both def+hp buff), but LotL being a slow mana hero, I donāt think it is a very good choice.
Another note : minions have 14% HP of the caster, which is 183HP from a fully ascended LotL. Each HP node in the talent tree will add 5HP to the minion (14% of 36HP).
Do you know how minionās HP interact with heroes like Heimdall or costumed Kashhrek?
Iāve made a little test. Sadly the minions only inherit the percentage of the original max hp.

Iāve just calculated what you get for choosing defence vs hp node.
With HP node, you get 36 extra hp. That is 1387+36= 1423 which translate to 199.2 minion hp (14% of LotL hp) from 194.18 minion hp. That is 5.02 minion hp increase. That increase will not help you with burn or water damage from GM or Vela. butā¦
DoT need cleansers, donāt waste your emblems trying to defend against it.
