Since Covenant Quest has 2 boss variants, the variant coming tomorrow is referred to as the “Boss Wolf” variant because the first stage contains the Grimforest bosses, etc.

It’s an enemy configuration with Boss Wolf as one of enemies for one of stages, I assume.
For Covenant Quest, Costume Chamber and Tavern of Legends, there are multiple variations of those quests (in this case, there are only two for the CQ). I name those variants after the boss of the first stage, or the tank in this case for the CQ.
This information can help the player find the right guide for the actual variation of the quest to come and eventually prepare teams ahead of time.

What are the chances that July will bring a challenge, opera or gods summons or similar for spending challenge coins?

I think there’s an unreleased ice hero from Knights so we might get Challenge Festival I (wild guessing here)
Actually,there are 1 Hero+1 costume for CF1,4 Heroes for Opera and 3 Heroes for Sanctuary. I think It would be Opera because that didn’t return since March.
Another day but a special secret update for today. Now I need to decide which one is best for my roster to do my VC2P gem pulls on that day…

And for my gem pulls, I think I will go for Atwood on Sunday. Same for my Untold Tales pulls with coins from the Path of Valor (which I buy the pass and is the only thing I pay for alongside the VIP pass).

Insanity 3* called Cthuwu that has a allows a follow-up attack with 50% chance for 250% damage.
They will all eventually get their event and portal.
Another day, another update. SE is not yet scheduled into the game but the announced Monster Island finally is 
On the other hand, the unannounced Astral Elves on the 28th is still scheduled.
