Well to their points, that’s the same energy it would take roughly in 20-4 (slightly more actually, can do it in 60 energy there) which of course is a much better farming zone… and that zone is much better on pretty much every metric except for sword drop percentage than 4-1.
Then compare that to purple in 7-4, green in 7-5, or blue in 8-7, and red is the most “annoying” special chest to fill if that can be said about anything which has a better than average chance of getting a 4* ascension item for all that those have utterly eluded me as of late from special chests. Yellow is the only other somewhat frustrating one and it’s easier than red to sort.
The number, no matter what, in 20-4 is 11 per attempt. 3 sets of 3 and then 2 bosses.
I still think it’s worth farming 20-4 for the materials and experience. PLUS you could have crap luck in 4-1 and it could take more, maybe much more, energy, to fill that chest.
I complete 11-6 for red in under 60 energy regularly. It is the 2 fixed reds at the end that pushes the enemies per energy ratio over the 6 energy boards even though they are all red. Of those two where another color it would be tough.
I add the anecdotal evidence that skipping Raid/Hero seems to make it take longer to get a rare chest. No concrete dates, but I think it’s been 1-2 months since my last one. Seems forever.
is this true ?? I do use gems to save time in chests.
I have found for “Farming” red monsters that the quickest is 5-6. It only uses 3 world power and in under an hour I completed 150/150 for the red chest. I have 28/28 power and in a little over 20 minutes I was able to attack level 5-6 10 times. The first 23 minute attack got me 52 red monsters, 8 backpacks, 5 (1☆ heroes) and 1 (2☆ troop). I used 100 gems to replenish my world level back to 28/28. The second 20 minute attack got me 58 red monsters, 6 backpacks, 4 (1☆ heroes) & 1 (2☆ hero) and 2 (1☆ troops) & 1 (2☆ troop). I used another 100 gems to replenish my world level to 28/28 again. Then in about 12 minutes I got the last 40 red monsters. I got 6 more backpacks, 3 (1☆ heroes) & a 2☆ troop. So in under an hour and using 200 gems I completed the red monster chest mission. So for quick reds but not alot of experience points, I recommend 5-6. I know the reds are random for this level. But I averaged a little over 5 red monsters per fight… with a high of 11 and a low of 3… which isn’t bad for only 3 to fight. Here is what I received from the mission… click on photo to expand.
Okay, gotta ask why no one ever seems to mention using your raid energy when filling elemental chests.
Everybody here has a special favorite place on the map to hunt the various monsters. Rook kindly pointed out several. Is it the simple answer that players don’t know heroes count, too?
6 raid energy x 5 heroes per raid (assuming you can find 6 single color teams in the right color) = 30 out of the 150 monsters you need. More likely you’ll get about 10 heroes to add to your chest out of 6 raid flags. It helps, but it’s not very efficient.
10 kills out of 6 flags is still way too high. Most raid defenses are rainbow so you would have to skip a lot just to find a team with 2 of the colour you need (thats ridiculous ) and on top you have to win the fight - or at least kill the heroes of the right colour. Sure it’s some nice sweets that raidkills count but nothing to really strive for^^
I always flask through coloured chests because I’m just too impatient (WE-Flasks, not Raid-Flasks )
Not meant for efficiency in that manner; rather, it is an adjunct that can save you a WE unit from time to time. I find people using flasks to finish, but never saw that as efficient. Just look for ways to get better at the margins.
If a player is trying to balance using a 7-4 vs 10-4, this one head added by using a raid flag they would use anyway helps their efficiency.
My main point, though, was I never see it mentioned as a source of chest filler. How many players know heroes can fill a monster chest?
