I’ve got the entire top row and the green & yellow heroes from the next one down.
I’m leaning away from blue because I’m currently leveling up 3 5* blue heroes, and won’t have the Farsight Telescopes to ascend 2 of them to the 4th tier anytime soon.
Coincidentally, all 3 of those 5* blues are wizards, so picking a wizard is probably not the best choice.
Red remains my weakest color, with both the fewest and lowest power-rated 5* heroes- and 3 of them are duplicates.
Green is my strongest color, with yellow & black on its heels. Blue is also quite strong, and will contend for the lead once Waterpipe (already level broken) gets fully leveled. There’s also other 5* blues awaiting talent boosting.
Right now, Frigg, Baldur and Morgan Le Fay have my eye.
Don’t miss on the blue elemental defense down Frida, no matter how deep your blue bench is. Unless you got another blue 5* EDD hero…Those are kind of must have heroes in the game that you can always take advantage of.
Besides this list is quite mediocre, even if you pick the colors you need the most, they are not something special.
As a fellow FTP who also needs a good red, I can tell you we’re just out of luck with this list. There are no good choices. Sometimes, it just sucks like that, but don’t skip a good hero just to take a red one. Learned my lesson chasing Yang Mai when she was HotM. I caught her. She still wasn’t very good and didn’t help me that much. Didn’t help that they nerfed her EL, which was her best feature.
Anyway, I more or less agree with others about Frida, who was also my first choice from this list. However, if you don’t have def down in green, Frigg is defensible also. Hers is inconsistent - being dependent on the number of green tiles on the board - but at least it’s fast. She was very annoyingly meta right after her release, but she’s showing her age now. Def down in green is still a pretty rare skill, though, and if I didn’t have Silvaria (who I love), I’d strongly consider Frigg as an upgrade over Buddy and Marcel.
I am in a similar situation. Blue and dark are my strongest colours. I am still leaning towards Frida for the EDD for titans. My second choice I am leaning towards Norns for the ‘make strong colour weak’ (or alternately make weak colour strong for attack).
Or Fish Loki for the fun factor.
I always considered Frigg a defence hero. On offence, to charge her you need to use up the green tiles she needs unused to be effective. Even at fast, I can’t see her displacing the greens I currently use and I have other EDD’s in green.
And I only have one Farsight Telescope. In all probability, I’d continue advancing Areax before feeding a single blue hero to advance Frida. So she’s at least a year away from being used.
I understand what you’re all saying, but it’s not the best fit.
