This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the initial release of the Round 5 of Beowulf heroes - Nithgaest
Don’t get too attached
Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.
It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.
So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.
Beowulf Heroes
There are a total of one (1) new heroes added to Beta for testing; these have been indicated to be for a new challenge event called “Beowulf Challenge”.
The name of the new hero is: Nithgaest.
Family Bonus
The new heroes form the “Beowulf” family and have a family bonus for each unique hero in the team:

This character’ Special Skill never misses its target.
Innate Resistance: Resist Mana Reduction
This character has innate resistance against mana reduction.
Innate Ability: Stacking Attack On Damage Received
When this character receives damage from Special Skills, they gain +25% attack Stack (Max: 10). Once Stack can be gained per turn.
Special Skill: Rush of Flame
- Deals 450% damage to the target and nearby enemies.
- The caster and nearby allies counterattack with 120% of the damage received for 4 turns. This effect cannot be dispelled.
- Caster and nearby allies get Burning Touch for 4 turns. (Burning Touch: Each time the owner of this status effect counterattacks an enemy, the attacker receives 708 Burn damage over 4 turns.)
