Letā€™s be honest, unless you are a new player, the only thing that matters is 4* mats. These changes donā€™t really make these any more attainable. Why not give a 4* mat for completion award for legendary level at least. One guaranteed 4* mat per event is hardly going to break the game. The coins are a good idea in principle but it depends on which heroes are up for grabs and what the odds will be. The emblems will be useful.

Muggy is a great 3*, looks like Bauchan could be even better. But there comes a point after playing 9-12 months in where you have a roster of 30+ heroes at level 70, so using a 3* hero anywhere except where they are expressly required doesnā€™t make sense.

The game should be exciting for players of all levels. Beginner players are going to get excited about any 4 or 5* hero they draw. More experienced players are looking for new heroes that they can use. 4*'s seem like the sweet spot in terms of being able to complete about 95% of the game.

You know, for all the good loot that trickled down, this is a pretty good point. That and avatars. push them down a bit further to align with the other things getting pushed down.

I actually donā€™t mind avatars being for just the top few, for the bragging rights.
What Iā€™m happy about is that meaningful/functional loot goes to the wider group now.

After I spoke about the new features in our event group containing three peoples who won several times epic and legendary (over 10 times in total and over 50 times top 10) @zephyr1 we found some points which will be very challenging ( which is great) and some points just annoy those peoples.

  1. The idea of increasing the amount of players with a nice reward is great. No need to increase the rewards for rank 1.
  2. It is necessary that also top10 players get an event hero (maybe an old one). You could also give a hero of the winners choose for rank 1 and a specific one for top10.
  3. The old rank one avatar is a sign of great gameplay and much effort in an event. Please to not give that avatar to top10 players. It would just decrease the value and annoy a lot.
  4. Please remove the chests from wave 2 and 3. They are very annoying for a top ranked player if he tries for a good ranking.
  5. Remove the extra points from the chest. The token is reward enough.
  6. More peoples need to get a 4 star hero as an avatar and as a reward from ranking.

That is true. When I pulled MItsuko it was during a month when she was non-featured which has a 0.3% chance of being pulled from the listed odds. I was thrilled when she came up though.
Trying for a specific hero is crazy though I know people go HARD after Guin. I would love to have her and she evaded me from my last 10x. However I can beat any hero setup so having all the best heroes doesnā€™t guarantee winning. It does make things easier I guess for war and raids but all my heros except Mitsuko are classic heroes. I do have many 4* atlantis heroes including the good ones like Proteus, Triton and Gaderius who make a great team with the family bonus. Wilbur still evades me though and other than Tarlak I think he is one of the few I really want.

Despite the levels being increased, are the bosses still at the same level of HP? Currently I am able to finish all 3 difficulties and depending on the event usually little or no items are needed though sometimes I will still need them in certain events like Guardians I used them just to be safe. Any word on boss strength changing?
It also looks like completing all 3 will give 15 coins(3,5,7) and I would imagine getting another 5 from the random heroes would be likely so it seems like at least 2 pulls for the event would be fairly easy. Thatā€™s not bad especially for f2p (I used to be c2p but had to cut back) so I can still try for great new heroes like is possible in Atlantis without spending.

Front what I heard (I am not a beta tester) the normal mobs in stage 1-10 are around the same and getting more difficult in 11-15 up to around 20% more health compared to stage 10 today.

Bosses are very different because a lot of stages have three bosses with mostly different health. In total the big stages are getting more difficult compared to stage 10 today.

Love the idea of the special chest in later waves. Right now people play a couple moves and flee if not to their advantage. This might make it less appealing for the high spenders to try for top 10 now due to increased time needs.

Love the summon coins and the increased rewardsā€¦ is it bad that Iā€™ll be waiting for the loot to get nerfed after the first time?

Well iā€™ve been thinking about thisā€¦
Maybe SG or Staff found out that only a few players reached the top 1 on challenge eventsā€¦ maybe they think (based on many opposit feedback) that thats not the challenge event purposeā€¦
Top 10 players will always be some hard spendersā€¦ but with this changes maybe theres a small window to other players get to top 100ā€¦
Just looking at thoose particular changes i guess they really want to change something on challenge event that was not working as initially intendedā€¦
Thoughts on that? Or am i completely wrong?

I think youā€™re exactly right, I canā€™t imagine the challenge events were created with the intention of them being won in the manner that they are now.

About the art of Bauchan, is it totally new or has it been reused?

Reused, youā€™ll recognize him as one of the Avalon Event monsters.

Why remove something, thought it was challenge event?

Define ā€œnew playerā€. Iā€™m a week short of a year and stalled in both green and red with 3 sturdy shields and 3 hidden blades. I find the monthly 3* mat event quite helpful.

Not that Iā€™m disagreeing on the main point. Completing legendary deserves a 4* mat, especially if theyā€™re adding more levels and more difficulty. Itā€™s already far more of an accomplishment than finishing a rare quest.

I am not sure if I am getting your point right. More variance in winning is okay but it is way too expensive if it gets more random. Where is the challenge if you are winning based on luck?

The changes do not really give others the chance to be top100. The wisdom is practically the same for everyone. I wrote a guide for example about how to play. Everyone is able to read it here in the forum.

A winning right now is based on skill, heroes and refills. Why give it a bigger random part?

I am pretty much the same as yourself, just over 11 months since i started playing and i have more 3* mats than I need now and i know I can keep a steady stream of them coming in. I could ascend more 4* heroes to use them up but there is not much point in that, I have 6 teams of 4* already, what i need is to ascend some 5s. I have Seshat stuck at 3/70 waiting for tabbards and apart from the rare quest one every 2 months i havenā€™t received a tabbard for longer than i can remember. I still need 3 more so at current levels it will be another 5 months to level her which is ridiculous. Because itā€™s so hard to get 4 mats I am reluctant to use the ones i have on the average 5* heroes i have. Because it takes so long to accumulate 6 4* mats I am waiting for a hero worth using them on. It just makes no sense to restrict them so much. A 4* mat in each challenge event would only give 12 a year, which is a sensible amount.

From what iā€™ve seen raidt works and everything else works mainly rngā€¦ i dont really think SG want this game to be p2w but p2pā€¦
