Im more curious about the last 5 levels of the new 15 stages in each tier. How much more difficult does it get. Are they still doable without battle items?
Right. I wasnāt competition before. I played each stage exactly once. I would even wander off mid stage because I didnāt care about the timer.
That Tabard is what drew me in. I want to max Kunchen and Seshat. Iāll probably review those links you provided(thanks again!) And decide when the event finally drops. This was beta, it could still change againā¦
does the CE leaderboard still show the top 100? Or has it been expanded to show beyond that?
In the real history the Black Knight is Edward of Woodstock one of the most famous and loyal knights in the medieval British History
I think it was still Top 100, but Iāll check again when Beta reopens.
I donāt quite understand the rewardsā structure.
4* mats are awarded to top1000 in rare, top500 in epic, and only to top100 in legendary tier of the event.
Is it to make people more interested in rare tiers of these events?
Itās in keeping with existing reward brackets being more competitive in the Epic and Legendary tiers.
I canāt speak to the thinking of the game designers on that, but itās at least not really a new change.
Iām guessing it is because there are less people who can compete in epic and legendary.
Yea, I know that rewards are structured like this, but those tiers with 4* mats were usually so unreachable for me that I never bothered thinking about them.
And now that 4* goes to top1000 in rare, it started looking āobtainableā and it made me wonder about rewardsā structure in general.
They basically improved the loot and expanded the bracket sizes, but didnāt otherwise (so far at least) reinvent the premise of loot or scoring for Challenge Events.
So presumably the change is intended to make competing more appealing to more people, and satisfy the longstanding player complaint that the number of players winning good loot was absurdly minuscule relative to the player population size.
But the thinking on distribution across Rare/Epic/Legendary seems to be unchanged from the original design of the loot tiers.
Makes sense.
Just to make it clear, I like the extended loot.
And the incentive seems to work as some people in our alliance who skipped rare part of the event before, now seem more inclined towards doing it.
Adding Emblems to Rare definitely shifted how many people seemed to be completing it. I imagine this will further increase participation. Raid Tournaments and the recent additions of more 3* heroes have been a good indication that the game designers would like people to have reason to level and use 3* heroes, which this will also help support.
But after Raid Tournaments, Iām going to remain skeptical about the loot staying as-is until weāve been through two rounds of each Challenge Eventā¦
Emblems are the main thing.
Another incentive (at least for me) is due to AR. In my eyes World Energy Flasks are now worth more than ever so as a C2P Iām more than happy to do every tier of everything as long as it gives me more farming during Atlantis
Yeah, raid tournaments were supposed to be a āsignificant source of emblemsā
What was the feedback in beta for the new event?
To me this is really unfair to people that put emblems on 5*. They shouldnāt penalize the people that trying to get stronger. I understand that more people have 3*, but so what? Do they think it is easier to get into the top 100 in legendary then the top 1000 in rare?
People seem relatively positive about the changes, on the whole, particularly the loot changes, Suspicious Chests, WE cost reductions, and addition of more Stages.
Thereās been discussion amongst a few people about how the Suspicious Chests will play out for top competitors, but Iād say most people were happy to see the addition of a way to earn free Summons more than they cared about how it would affect competition for the very top spots.
A couple people pointed out that giving out avatars previously limited to the very top slot was likely to upset past winners.
Thereās also been discussion about Summoning odds with the addition of more 5* to the pool.
Most of the other feedback has been on the new heroes.
There have also been a very large number of crashes reported.
I donāt care about the avatars, personally. I know I could never get top 1, no matter how much I spent. The main thing Iām interested in is how feasible getting a 4* mat will be.
I love the summon tokens, too. Those will be nice. I would like getting one of the new heroes(definitely any new 3 and 4*) but Iām not going crazy for heroes any more.
No one knows how feasible getting the 4* items are going to be. Because no one knows how many ppl will go and emblem 3* and 4* for the challenge and try. Or how many ppl with emblemed 5* will now make an effect to compete to get the 4*
I know. Thatās why Iām still debating on whether Iām gonna try it. I also have no experience on how hard it is before the update, since Iāve never tried.
This still upsets me when I think about it. If they nerf these rewards after showing them in beta, it will be disappointing, but at least defensible (i.e. āin testing, these proved to be too lucrativeā or something). If they release them and then nerf them, it will be inexcusable.
To me, embleming five-stars needs no incentive. In a vacuum, itās the most sensible thing to doā¦ make your best heroes stronger. Incentivizing people to emblem lower-star heroes makes players consider different strategies for playing. Do I want a defense team of maxed five-stars to keep me in diamond, or do I want to get more competitive in events and alliance wars by using emblems to build depth?
You and me both, friend. Iām thinking Iām gonna use the best team I can assemble and run through each tier for completion only, then switch to a mono team and farm a couple of the 1 WE levels to see how much I can improve my score (or not). From there, Iāll decide whether to try the whole rare tier with a mono team and compete for score. Avalon would be a great event for that, in my case. Iāve been wanting to try a green mono team of Muggy, Hisan, Berden, Brienne, and Mnesseus.
