Mostly, I prefer the original skill too, I might give them costume just for the stat bonus it give to the original hero.
If they want to help F2P, they would have give us costume factory at our base.
Iāve verified it again against Beta, and the info above is correct.
Like a Hero, it improves the stats and Special Skill.
Additionally, per the Costume tooltip:
A fully leveled Costume will give a permanent stat bonus for the Hero and all of their Costumes.
Attack Bonus: 5%
Defense Bonus: 5%
HP Bonus: 5%

If it remains like that i would say vivica de dispeller/healer/defense debuffer will became my best friend ā¦ if i get her skin!
Also gunnar will pulverize every 3* raid tournament as tank!

The good news is that this game has having new feature one after another as i donāt saw almost in any other game.
The bad news is that they donāt think too much before proposing it in a decent way.
Or they do it on purpose.
I honestly donāt know what is worse.
Drop rates are there. 1% for legendary costumes. Very F2P friendly.
There are no drop rates for keys listed. We donāt even know where keys will be available from yet, let alone in what quanities. Again, the availability of keys will determine how F2P friendly or unfriendly it actually is.
The summoning probability for legendary costumes is 1.5%.
Itās good to hear that no 4* Ascension items have to be used (although this has to be confirmed first). Itās quite likely to get a legendary costume that you have no hero to use it on. Maybe they could add a trade mechanism, so that you can trade your useless costumes for something useful. Because if Iām lucky enough to draw a legendary costume, I want to use it immediately and not wait for half a year (or longer). Please give us some instant gratification for once in this game
Everybody should only gain costumes for herors being on the bench.

A question that have not been asked before: How will it effect the war score? Will it be counted as separate hero therefore increasing the war score (if the costume make it into top 30 heroes)?
Iām trying to keep an open mind.
If no ascension materials are needed then I can see it as being
beneficial to players. Having to level up the skin will be tiresome though.
The probabilities of firstly pulling a 5* and then its specific skin are extremely low though plus you lose the benefit of having two separate heroes. (i.e. in wars can you use that hero twice-with and without skin?)
Ultimately I think most players would have preferred the same effort in designing these new skins to have been spent on designing actual new heroes for the training camps etc but then that isnāt a revenue generator.
Hereās hoping for something special from an advanced training camp which I hope will arrive eventually.

True. So basically if I max Richard today and donāt like her against new heroes one year later, I can get a costume to keep him in the game.
Iām curious to see which is cheaper, buying new heroes or upgrading existing ones. I have a Viv, but so far I donāt see appeal in trying to buy her costume and rather just summon new HotM (pretty sure Kunchen would return at some point too). That way Iād be able to use two cards simultaneously at least.

Regarding the emblems, you mentioned with my first one that nothing happens to talent levels, but in the last piece you said they are separate and either add or reset. So Iām guessing itās still up to speculation on how the emblems will function in regards to costumes? Either way, thanks for your help and answers.
The Staff have thanked Beta members for the feedback so far, and are reviewing it and will be starting work on improvements and changes soon.
Theyāre aiming to have a new Beta for Hero Costumes in a month or two, and will be adding Costumes for all Classic Epic and Legendary Heroes.

I want to know whether that stat boost is going to be meaningful or not.
With emblems and costumes we seem to be heading into a direction where it is more and more inconvenient to change your decisions about which heroes to focus on.
While 4* mats have always been a bottleneck, it is quite possible for a c2p (vip and cheap montly event/atlantis offers) to get a reasonable number of 4/80 5* heroes after a year of active playing (judging from my case).
I feel that after emblems have been introduced Iām switching my offence team less often than ever (even ignoring colors, - a stack of my emblemmed heroes is simply way stronger or at least quite similar in strength to a handpicked team tailored towards opponentās defence).
If we add to that a choice of which costumes to level, switching to other hero combinations might get really tedious for pretty much everyone apart from the heaviest whales.
The first Beta had it set to 5% for each of Attack, Defense, and HP.
