Do insanity heroes have the chance to crazy themselves on the second fire? Or if a mana shield reflects mindless back to the attacker, will they fire the second time as normal, or would the mindless take effect? Also, can we re-target the second attack? Or do they both fire at the selected target?

My comment didn’t age well.

At the time, we had zero information on any of the war modes. Homeboy was going on about how the sky was falling
with zero information.

Time passes and we get info.

My comment gets merged to a different thread, one with the new info listed in the OP.

Couple of thoughts:

  1. When a post is merged into a new thread, could it somehow be marked as “merged from another thread”? I appreciate the hard collating work mods try to do around here – but some posts can appear out of context to anyone who doesn’t know they were originally posted somewhere else (i.e. to anyone but the post’s author).

See, for instance, that I have a post above that’s quoting a big chunk of my own post (because I was sharing it to another thread, but then that share got merged into this thread, apparently).

  1. When possible, let’s try to punch up. There is reasonable frustration over poor and/or poorly implemented changes (see, the abject failure of Mk I Ganja Field, which I’m wondering “was this even Beta tested and how did this not show up in Beta”), but let’s point at the actual problem

When will the new war modes come now?

I think they will try it again this wednesday.

The rotation has arrow war for a week. Bloody war after that. This hopefully will give them enough time to iron out the wrinkles.

As for me, I don’t know since SG doesn’t normally announce war modes AFAIK?

So presumably either we will get an in-game announcement (“uh-oh, here we go again, folks”), or

the war type will just come up “ganja field” or whatever when SG decides to, or

the war will just, without notification, crash again if SG tries a new war type and it fails.

Clover war it is! Can any beta testers clear a couple things up for me?

Do status effects apply between the specials firing? I.e GP fires twice, does the defense down apply to the second hit?

Can you re-target a sniper on attack, and will a sniper on defense choose random twice? Or will both hit the same enemy?

My impression is that it acts as if the specials are fired simultaneously, so my guesses are a no to each question. But the re-target really changes the value of heroes like Von and Eron, so hoping for clarification.

I was assuming the second special will come after the first is done with all its effects, and the second target will be random. Reading you made me realize my assumptions were pretty arbitrary.

It’s an educated guess at best, based on the fact that it seems charge heroes will fire their same charge level each time. If that’s true, it suggests that the skill fires simultaneously. But it’s a guess. If we can’t get an answer today, we will certainly have one tomorrow!
