I didn’t know that! I guess you can still learn things after over year of playing! And did seem little weird, that rerolling only gave same opponents. Thanks. 
Yes trying him at flank is no better as he does not benefit from other heroes support abilities. You also cut off your other heroes that only effect nearby allies. Honestly he should be a 4* at best in his current state.

Granted he is still halfway leveled up at best, but I really like the looks of this team so far - Delilah/Khiona/Aegir/Lancelot/Tarlak. There are enough specials floating around to keep everyone alive. With Tarlak and Aegir active, that heal back is huge.
Chances of Aegir being alive when Tarlak casts is small.
That’s entirely dependent on tiles and what kind of opponent you are facing. I’ve obviously seen a different result if I am reporting on it.
I’m talking about as a defense team.
