Lost 2 more times against c2Li Xiu tanks, though it was more due to the abundance of Red and Purple tiles I don’t need as well as cascades into her. Won against a 3rd one without issue.
Brought in Zarel today and attacked mainly with c2Kiril - Franz - Zarel - Marcel - Gullinbursti. Switched in cCaedmon and Goldie vs c2 Li Xiu.
Defense is at 2-2 (B) but not planning on buying back if I get the 4th loss since I’ve reached the 25 kills for PoG.
4-1 today. Lost a frustrating match against a Griffin tank, the easiest team i faced, thanks to one of the most awful boards ever. Enemy team with three healers, a fight that dragged long enough and yet i charged my heroes only once, in a very fast tournament… The following match was an equally frustrating match with awful tiles, but snatched the win when there were only 30sec left, thanks to the attack bonus.
Defense is 3-0, even though i noticed just today that i picked mana cutter Li xiu, then changed her to silencer Lixiu for Sunday’s war and forgot to change her back. They should really fix this costume nonsense, it’s not the first time i get screwed.
This tournament has proved to me that I need to start paying more attention to my 4*'s. The majority of my leveled ones are Dark, so yeah, I’m already out of this tourney lol. Oh well, incentive to work on enhancing my roster. I have plenty of 4*'s just sitting there as my legendary queues are pretty big so I have been focusing there, but I now know I need to diversify
Two battles I expected to lose: a double Goldie / double C2 Li Xiu line up, which forced me to try a completely different approach (went Faiez/Skittles/Brienne/Jolly/classic Li Xiu, game plan being to keep Faiez alive long enough to block the C2 Li Xius and then swamp them with tile damage… I’m still surprised it worked). Last fight of the day was a monster Xiahou Dun tank surrounded by heal and more dispel. I went Mulgog/C2 Kelile/Jolly/C2 Kiril/C2 Li Xiu to try to accumulate enough DoT to bring down the tank. Close fight, lost Mulgog, but not before he fired twice which allowed me to fell XD and open up the defence.
Go with go with Jolly - C2 Li Xiu - Waddles - Kalo - C2 Li Xiu. The board is pretty bad. Enemy C2 Li Xiu fire before my C2 Li Xiu and block my C2 Li Xiu most of the time. Manage to kill enemy tank and one C2 Li Xiu.
Go with Jolly - C2 Li Xiu - CB Melendor - Kalo - Waddles. The board is pretty bad as well. I lose Kalo but I somehow manage to kill C2 Li Xiu enemy tank. After that, I constantly silence enemy and slowly kill the rest enemy.
Overall, when fight against enemy C2 Li Xiu especially multiple C2 Li Xiu, it is like whose C2 Li Xiu fire first, who win.

Defense doesn’t go well as I expect. Maybe, my 2nd Kalo has too low stat .
I faced my first Jolly today and well, he just made the fight longer i kept dumping tiles on him preparing my dispellers and then firing my heroes together. Had much more trouble facing only Kalo and Waddles that were left on the wings.
4-1 today too (13-2 in total). The loss was a battle i fled after three moves. Started with two tiles and got not a single one after the moves, in a very fast match against a Franz tank there was no point in wasting more time.
On a side note, the amount of purple tiles i’m getting in general is embarrassing: i get the idea of banning a determined color from a tournament, but then maybe they should think a formula to make sure that that color doesn’t get very-much-not-randomly prevalent on every board.
I realized I’m an idiot earlier. I already posted I am struggling in this tournament. I ended up buying back in to more easily get some PoV and PoG challenges done, and while doing so noticed why I struggled on offense even more than I should have.
Wasn’t paying any attention and for some reason my offense all had 1* troops on them automatically and I didn’t notice…smh…did a bit better after I fixed that lmao.
Expected to go out today so went with a new ‘attack’ team of Wang Yuanji - Ptolemy - c2Li Xiu - Zarel - Gullibursti. With Zarel’s bonus all other heroes charge in 6 tiles. Wasn’t pretty but all those overhealing and ailment blocking was durable enough to actually win 4 matches (3 in overtime).
Finally ran out of luck in the last match against a (you guessed it) c2Li Xiu tank. Just couldn’t get the tiles and no chance to avoid the zero.
Defense is C (5-7) so not much need to buy back in this week.
Fired Kiril once, decided to bite the bullet and match 4 purples… set off a cascade that somehow lanched a 3x purple 2x red combo… died. I did get to fire Kelile, so that was fun.
Ah well. 10-4 it ends. Defense is currently holding up 6-2, grade A, so Jolly doesn’t seem to be a liability on defense. Overall: he’s surprised me by being a star on offense (when he gets to fire). I think he deserves the “yellow Treevil” tag, definitely competitive in 4* rush, likely to be an outright monster in 3* rush.

Most of the times Iam using this team - Jolly Lb1, c1Chao Lb1, C2Li Xiu LB2, C2Caedemon LB2, Kalo LB1.
After first time when Jolly fire i can charge all the heroes in 5 tiles.
Kalo saved my *** at least 3 times when the battles looks hopeless
The only lost until now was yesterday against this team. Realy bad board, at least I killed the tank, so not zero
Def was 1:1 on day one, after that is A - 7:2.
Jolly works good as flank. I choose regular Li Xiu for tank, because of the mana cut and charging in 6 tiles.
Happy first raid tournament of 2024 all! I am going to try to stay consistent this year with posting as I gain so much knowledge from all of you in the tournament threads. Of course, I am already 3 days late in sharing already

Should have been 5-0 but I made a very, very stupid mistake. I had the enemy C2 Colen and Caedmon about to fire and my Waddles charged. I attacked Colen since he was more dangerous. Caedmon fired. He revived enemy Shrubber and Goldie who had full mana ready to go. Because of course it wasn’t actually Caedmon. It was Gramps Not sure how my brain saw the wrong hero but I have nobody to blame but myself. I was so mad
Day 2: (4-1)
Generous boards and my one loss was at least partial points. Really solidified how much I am enjoying this offense.
Day 3: (5-0)
Decent to generous boards again and really not facing that many difficult teams. I expect that to change tomorrow!

Unfortunately, the attack is not that good (11-4). It’s been a long time since I had such bad boards (although I must admit that I lost once only due to my own stupidity and the lack of dispell in the team ).
