Not sure on that point. There are also server costs (probably proportional to volume), rent, insurance, taxes, contracted work, and other expenses to consider aside from payroll.
Aside from that discussion, I was leaning on the point that they nearly doubled their revenue from folks watching ads without giving anything back to them. They could have simply left the rewards the same and let us watch it twice a day, but I guess that would have been ‘too rewarding’.
