Last 3* Rush was 12-6-2023, No Green. My rank was 759,773 (first day, no attacks).
That’s a 20k drop. I hope it’s because of summer hols.

Average 4.6 players per alliance. Dropped from 5 for last MT.

Yes, it is really top 5%. That is really sad 
. I actually end up around 6.1k rank in last 20 minute and then drop to 6.3k at the end.

Participation is trending down.
If this drop is not due to summer holidays, try to stay under <6000 in the next round.

I think I will aim for top 5% and never aim for top 1% any more. It is really not worth to push to top 1% now.

One year old I was complaining that tourney participants are below 900k players… Now the number is just above 700k players for tourney… 
20% attrition YoY…

I ended up with 1% total damage…and used the wrong team for the first 3 flags …this shows less MT participation.

There’s also less Mythic Titan participation because Pengi is broken for MTs

All things must pass.
The game could have lasted longer, but the developers chose the current path, with seemingly one new 5* hero per day. Keeping up is just impossible for most people. That was their choice to make.

Looks like it took a nose dive after telly/vela nerf then again after krampus
This game is no longer F2P or VC2P friendly. Maybe it was up to S3… Until then S1 heroes are still somewhat serviceable and with the good quality of HoTM which are more accessible to F2P players, F2P can still compete effectively.
But if you ask someone to start the game today as F2P, it is nearly impossible for him/her to enjoy the game coz his team will just be annilihated by all the crazy OP teams out there.
Power creep is another issue, tgt with LB1 and LB2, the recently released event 4* can be much better than the classical 5*.
Lastly, the game progression is very slow (e.g. level up a 5* to 4/80 etc.). If you haven’t played this game for long enough to accumulate all the food/feeder heroes needed, the only way for you to catch up as a new player is to buy a lot of expensive items (e.g. food crates, tome etc.).
Despite that the P2P players generating majority of the revenue, most of the players either don’t spend at all or spend very little. These ppl leaving and/or not joining will def result in the player base dropping sharply.
There is no way back now. The # of players will continue to drop until it is not sustainable any more.
