Cheneese new year was on January 22nd in 2023.
The Lunar New year event was between these dates:
The Lunar New Year will be on February 10th in 2024, which is now in conflict with Valentines day.
Maybe Staff is skipping this event because of this Conflict ?

or chines new year event will be till 14th of February or 10th and love one start from 14th February

Don’t need a lunar event to introduce heroes. Can always feature in Covenant. That’s the main vehicle now for new heroes till the linked event is ready.
Zynga didn’t do much homework for their lunar event, otherwise they would know that the dates shift within a period of 28 days or so.
There is an almanac with forward dates for those who want to plan ahead.

Nah, they’re doing it. They did something similar before. They did a Challenge event then seasonal back to back.

Didn’t they skip the Sand Castle event last year and combine it with the new summer event? I don’t remember exactly how it went, but I think there just isn’t room for every single seasonal regardless anymore.

Yeah. Dunes or Sands (can’t remember the official title) was scrapped and the heroes within included in the Summer portal.
Correct, Sand Empire event was absorbed by Beach Party event.

There was hope that this game would die after the mass exodus following the TV nerf. That was in 2020. And here we are…. Still playing more than 3 years later.
You should have seen the revenue data in the other post. You replied to me. Downloads declining faster than revenue. What does that tell you ?
If you have been following my posts, you would have seen links to TT financial results as they are released.
What could potentially kill this game is:
• TT files for Chapter 11 following default on 1B debt and more in first half 2024. Even then this game will still continue to run cos it brings in healthy income. Other less profitable games will get culled first. So probability is pretty low for this scenario.
OR
• TT sells this game to a Giant for immediate funding to settle as much debt as possible in 2024. Sony has been reported as looking at possible acquisitions (TT or Zynga is no longer on the list; too big) after the Microsoft-Acti acquisition went through. Maybe Sony may buy the game for a quick boost to their financials. Maybe.
This may cause Player exodus to accelerate more. Another change in management style. Probability is low for this scenario.
OR
Zynga upsets players with a cataclysmic development along the lines of:
• introduction of beta aethers in early 2024 (high likelihood) while further tightening supply of 4AM, basic aethers and AA behind higher paywalls
• introduction of ridiculous OP heroes behind greater paywalls (we are already here but it should get worse)
Above just means that more players will exit or go casual. Actual attrition is not as high as you think it is. RT still clocks in around 720k sign ups weekly.
Recent musketeers clocked in around 882k active accounts. HL was about 1m, including alternate accounts.
There are new players staying with this game, some of them whales so net attrition is less. Say net 10k uninstall monthly, that’s 120k in a year.
Based on RT, that’s 240k in 2 years. At best 360k.
So yeah 2 more years look probable.

You think they’ll include W3K heroes in Lunar New Year portal? I’m asking since I noticed Seasons of Love is getting love first before that event, even though I’m thinking it’ll probably come before it. Or will it be pushed back to March?

I would not be at all surprised to see just one of the two events but both portals.
(They’ve got to keep the gears on that money making machine moving.)
