ℹ Jean-François – 5* Fire/ Red - February 2020 HotM

Can anyone explain who chose the WIZARD CLASS FOR JEAN FRANCOIS?

Your employees are unique(!)

There are so many stupid decisions and no one changes anything.

All you can do NERF good heroes and make them garbage then buff events heroes before events to make them OP.

Waiting SOME LOGICAL ASWERS :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

This hero has literally been out for 3 years. Not sure what type of logic you want, but this ship has sailed and it’s been gone for years.

What discussion do you expect of a card that is 3 years old.
No one remembers this card. He was not as popular as the other 2 HOTM even when he was released. Even with the recent buff, he is rarely used.
Don’t bother about him and move forward with relevant cards.

This is just an example. There are few defensive heroes are wizard class. It doesn’t matter how old the heroes.
Look now they makes costume for many heroes right. Same problem keep going.

Problem is LOGIC.

Why my defensive hero should be without class(cuz wizards gives no any plus)

Well, he is holding a fireball in one hand and is a “Musketeer Mage”. I don’t know what fits better than wizard for that (thematically).

Since the buff, I use him to support Matilda in raids. And that’s a pretty strong raid team.

He casts fireballs and casts magic defensive buffs? Sounds like a wizard to me. :joy:

You are the MVP mate :joy:

Maybe when he, if he gets a new costume, he may get outfitted with Sorcerer class. Or heaven forbid…Druid class.

Just got this French guy and I have mixed feelings. In theory he can be defender against heroes that hits you hard with either defence down or elemental defence down. But it’s just theory, A GAME THEORY!

Ok, but for real, I used to see him quite often, now almost never, is he really that worthless today? Not talking about meta defences/attacks as answer is an obvious yes, I am asking about using him in low diamond and such.

He does things fast. Good DoT damage, but the big kicker is the defense down reflect. But that’s about it for JF. Congrats and good luck!!!

Since the buff I’ve been tempted to reemblem him, perhaps even LB him, but there’s always someone new for blems…

It’s a shame as I have a soft spot for him.

Got a buff. What do think now about this hero? Is it worth the emblems/limit break?

Mine is LB1 with 18 emblems on the HP/def path. Stats are 809/892/1616 with burn damage of 570 over 3 turns (post buff). Taking him to +20 would give 31 more attack, boosting the burn damage a little in the process. I still use him a lot because my reds are bad and his burn sets up Tahir for a bigger hit. The burn damage itself isn’t often a difference maker.

Mine is also LB1 with 20 emblems on the attack path which results in 930/815/1551 with 654 burn damage over the 3 turns. As @Noble_Weasel said: I also like to team him with Tahir for more damage, the burn itself isn’t what decides a fight. More interesting (for me) than the burn is his ability to swap a def down ailment into a def up buff, that can really make a difference - at least on the level I’m playing.

Agreed. I think this ability is unique - or at least very rare - in the entire game. This is why I took JF in the first SE. If I didn’t think legendary troops would kill DoT heroes, I might go back and emblem him for attack and take those last couple of nodes. I went def/HP because he was on my defense team at the time.

I don’t agree. He protects only from defence ailments in compare with the circus burner. Jean François advantage and much more with the buff now is that he burns a lot. Even more with maxed mana troops.

The hero card now contain the february balance update.
