The alliance message is a tall, narrow pop-up. We need to be able to format and preview it. At the very least, formats should include line breaks, bold, italic, and monospaced fonts. Bullets would be nice, too. Colors would be fabulous.
The copy-paste method to insert line breaks does not seem to work on an iPad.
