Rumored artworks shows icons for all five challenge events on a five sided coin. This would seem to strongly indicate it works for all five events.
This is great news! As a f2p Iām very happy about event coins and new 3* heroes
Bauchan looks like he will be extremely strong for a 3 star hero.
145 % damage to all - check
Mana control - check
Oh letās add more mana for the own team - check
He will rule on 3 star tournaments no metter what modification.
Gotta think that whatever quests spawn during challenge event are going to get the shaft now. Depending on the challenge token drop rate, I (F2P) might even skip a Collect Gems quest (which I NEVER do!) to keep farming the challenge event at 1 WE per try. One rare enemy gets me 10% of the way to a summon, where completing Collect Gems II would only get me 6% of the way to a summon. Rare enemies could have a pretty low spawn rate and still make this make sense mathematically. I can see some late nights during challenge events, too. (āBut I can try to get another challenge token in 10 minutes!ā Haha)
Always been able to replay challenge events. Not seasonals, though.
Still wish the loot tiers were percentage based, but this is still a massive step in the right direction. Way to reinvigorate challenge events, SGG! Just please donāt nerf this before release. Youāve got our hopes up!
This should help my āI need to take a step back on summoning and level my current heroesā issue LOL
Love the added new hero. There is too little 3* emphasis and I think with the addition of 3* raid tournaments this will keep that level of playing fresh by adding new heroes to fill out skillsets.
I also LOVE the challenge coin idea. That and the reduced WE costs are a great way to increase replayability. I always enjoyed challenge events, but Iām looking forward to them even more now.
It is intriguing to see this first version of a revamped event.
Will be nice to see how difficult the new 15 stages will be and how it will compare to the old version.
About the improved rewards, top 1000 in rare now have access to a Tabard, which is great. Canāt wait to see what Epic and legendary rewards will be.
Does these added rewards/increased chance at acquiring guaranteed 3* and 4* mats have anything to do with their initial intents with the costume need of leveling both the hero and the costume and their need of ascension mats.
If they make ascension mats more available, then we canāt argue about the costume upgrade cost
What were odds for event 5* before this change?
I think there wasnāt a rare event hero odd before. I was just going to ask the sane
Nah not for meā¦ Iād personally still prefer they rethink that part.
As costumes work right now; you can either choose to upgrade a 4* hero for twice the materials, or upgrade two 4* heroes. The latter gives you more depth for color stacking and wars, the formerā¦ well, just gives you one slightly better hero.
Gonna be real tough trying for a specific 5 star heroā¦ whatās that put us at nowā¦ .2% ā¦ yikes. Also, donāt believe it was changed, as we previously had a .3% chance for specific hero when it was 3.
I would still have liked to see new 4* added. Besides, new challenge events seem very promising
I agree that as of now, the costumes featured seemed pretty bad and their initial version was disgusting, to say the least
But if they add new guaranteed ascension mats and make them available to a larger pool of players, it makes the initial cost of a costume upgrade less Ā« ugly Ā».
I mean, if they halve the time required to obtain 6 X 4* mats by making them available to the top 1000, in the 3 difficulties, instead of the top 10, it is a good thing to me!
The concept of leveling twice the same hero still makes no sense to me, though, but that is another problem
Costumes werenāt meant to require 4* mats in the first Beta, so that at least wouldnāt matter so much.
The premise of adding to the pool of 3* mats that are available while also requiring more use of them for Costumes may prove true, though.
The same. Summoning odds at Challenge Events before this comes in is:
Rare Hero: 71%
Epic Hero: 20.8%
Legendary Hero: 1.5%
Epic Event Hero: 5.7%
Legendary Event Hero: 1%
I donāt think anyone is likely to be surprised if they donāt raise the Legendary Event Hero percentage to reflect there are now more of them. So yes getting a specific Legendary Event Hero from Challenge events will receive the stealth nerf of 0.3333% down to 0.2% chance.
Two questions I have is has there been any changes to the scoring system and do the Challenge Event stages now reward hams and irons? If the answer to both is no I donāt think this Challenge Event overhaul based on everything I have read change me from doing just completion rewards only. Iād rather keep the WE Refills I get for Atlantis Rises.
The scoring system may have been tweaked, thereās no way to tell really, but the premise at least is the same, and itās not mentioned in the Beta Release Notes.
Iām not sure if thereās a good authoritative log of Food/Iron item drops for Challenge Event Stage to compare to, but at the least I donāt think thereās any way it will really compare favorably to Atlantis Rises for farming purposes.
At best it might prove to be more Food, Iron, or XP per WE, but at the expense of all other item drops that are better in AR.
I know, but if they want Costumes to Ā« succeed Ā», they need people to upgrade their heroes to max tier to have a chance at using them.
More 4* mats means more 5* maxed means more ways to upgrade roster means more pulls in Costumes means more costumes upgradedā¦
In my head it makes some sort of sense
My recollection of Challenge Events is that the stages currently donāt drop iron and hams at all whereas Atlantis does.
Iāve already accumulated the existing Challenge Event heroes I wanted and of the entire new bunch of heroes based on my roster Lady of the Lake and Guardian Chameleon are in my āWould like but donāt really need categoryā and White Rabbit was āhighly desiredā but now I will wait to see what happens with Vivicaās costume and whether I get it. As such for me the 2 or 3 of the gates will have a hero Iād like but with only 0.2% chance of getting. In comparison the odds for me pulling something I want from the featured heroes in Atlantis are marginally better (though admittedly still rather low).
As such the opportunity cost analysis for me points towards Atlantis:
Marginally better chance of a pull I want
Contributes some ham and iron to building the advanced buildings
Lots of materials gained
Pulls from Atlantis coins count towards the bonus ascension material chest
I donāt have to waste a Sunday watching my CE score closely to make sure I donāt drop out of certain rewards at the last few moments.
Iām satisfied that Iāll have made some effort to try get the few new CE heroes I want by saving the CE coins I get from all the events to pull at a specific gate on top of any gem-paid for pulls if Iām trying for HOTM and want a cheaper gate than Atlantis.
Oops, I think youāre right. I never particularly pay attention to the drops from Challenge Event Stages, since Iām always playing for completion or improving score for slightly better rewards, not for farming.
I only see one āproblemā for myself:
With the new ranking loot itās worth the worldenergie flasks again (probably). And playing through stages now is more rewarding (random coins from the unique monster). This will result in the grind taking much more time than bevor. Previously I abounded a stage with a bad starting board and restarted. Yeah I know not ideal but now Itās gotten way less attractive.
On the bright side (of life): If the rate is close to Atlantis unique enemies I will miss like 1 summon but replaying may better if I get a coin even if I donāt improve my score for that stage.
