Luckily that only happened in one of my last war attacks. The other 5 went quite smoothly. 
I’ve always said, there’s a reason why they give us 6 war flags. Because at least one of them is destined to be a dud.
Me failing 3 revenges against the player with the +20 GTV defense who thrashed my +7 defenses…
… and me watching in hidden glee as their own cups get taken away by others successfully revenging them…

I compiled some focus group data for SG based on forum feedback.
EDIT: for further clarification… “other factors” include, but are not limited to -
- server outages
- personal internet / phone issues
- use and availability of battle items (for PvE / titan content)
- cup dropping / alliance war score exploits
- game mechanics not working as intended
etc.

LOL that’s what happened with my last flag… thought I could take out the Telly tank if I stayed in, but then the enemy Kunch and Boldy charged and I decided to cut my losses… 
When you keep taking the same team over and over again, and keep wondering why you don’t do any better every time…
