Several of us in our alliance have found our messages missing. Inwrite a message send it to alliance board and it may or may not be posted. The messages are inoculous and alliance oriented. Or a response to a team members questions.
Are you updated to version 18.0.1? Because in theory that patch yesterday fixed all the chat bugs.
