Iā€™m with you in regards to defense heroes not being exciting. Too prized by the devs. Which makes them extremely expensive, coupled with limited use. And fast turn over too! not to mention the highest exposure to nerfsā€¦
chasing defense (the smallest niche)
is a problem for the rich.

  • Reduces the max health of the target and nearby enemies by 800 over 4 turns.
  1. There is no added damage (dot)
  2. That is to 3 enemy instead of all
  3. The reduction is over 4 turns instead of instant

You say Arcadia has no use on offense.
Even though I see defenses with overheal. I donā€™t find that to be a requirement for her value. Such discussions neglect the dot.

Letā€™s do a proper comparison:
On turn one, your hero reduce max health of 3 enemy by 200

On turn one, Arcadia reduce max health of ALL enemy by 570 plus does 241 burn damage.
This already, is more than your comparison does to only three ā€¦after 3 more turns! During which time Arcadia still has 723 more damage incoming. You will need ailment protection when facing her. Sometimes thatā€™s easy. Sometimes it isnā€™tā€¦ but how to counter that hp reduction? With a hp booster? Good luck!

Enemies that take 964 burn damage (which is NOT attack path, that number can go UP!) after having their health reduced will be hard pressed to survive, especiallyā€¦ if they also neglect that Arcadia has 4 ally.

Not everyone in this game experience matches that are over after 6-7 tiles. In factā€¦ most donā€™t.
There are a large portion that will be able to fire this hero twice. Which should thenā€¦ promptly
end the match.

This wizard, can be used for almost all game content. Not just defense. That speaks volumes in regards to whether or not it is imbalanced.

Did a 10 pull and got her and Cel. Will be very happy unless she is nerfed.

This one is a god(dess). Not really even masked.

She should work well in attack and defense teams.
Maybe sword is the way to go with emblems? What do you think?

Appreciate the analysis, I think sheā€™ll be useful in many situations (on both sides of the coin). I think Iā€™ll be taking sword path to bump that burn up as she is already plenty tanky. Thoughts on that @Pompitous ?

I pulled her and her artwork is exquisite just like the rest of the carnival of the gods heroes. I would have been happier if she was a better counter to hathor. I really think we need a better counter to hathor but at average, Aradia isnā€™t gonna cut it.

I donā€™t think it matters much @JAWS_3D

Once upon a time, when emblems were first released. Before LB.
Before costumes
And more importantly, before stats jumped into the next rarityā€¦
Then,
the flat stat boosts made a noticeable difference!

Nowā€¦ Costumes are available for heroes that came out long after emblems were created. One year later, and they want you to buy the hero againā€¦

costumes add a percentage boost
so do Aether!
All those percentages are getting applied to monstrous stats fresh out of the portal.

So the +15 here, or +18 there
ā€¦just doesnā€™t have the same impact that it once did.

If a hero does no damage, then no sword path
And so onā€¦otherwise
Mix it up if you like. The gameplay will not be drastically swayed by emblem paths.

I think @Bandolivin assessment is spot on in about 15 months or so. Maybe less.
Look how devs released and ramped minion summoners. Then did the same with fiends. And every single niche skill in the game.

So currently with Arcadia if she fires twice, and will for many, then the max health will be close to 50-60%
Any enemy team with hp booster or healer just gave you an extra tile dump lane with Arcadia in tow.

Howeverā€¦ HP will continue climbing
And HP reduction will continue popping out of portals.

When enemy teams all have 4,000 hp and a new creep chops off 1,000 max health at fast speed.
Thatā€™s when Arcadia tears will flow.

Just like they do for ALL the heroes.
Jove will be no differentā€¦

Until then, Arcadia might bore the folks who own all the heroes. But for everyone elseā€¦
she will be a helping hand

I wished she was sorcerer instead of wizard. Wizard does nothing for her and her talent pathing would be awkward. She has no skill damage, but has DOT to scale that damage. But wizard also has pure defence and health. If she was sorcerer she can at least pull some annoyance on defence. There were times where a sorcerer on defence really screwed me over at the critical turn

She is in the same predicament as C Roc. The DOT which is her main way of offence isnā€™t foolproof, and 2/3 of her skills are useless up against an ailment shield. Until she has some form of dispel, she isnā€™t going to be fearsome. Or until they decide superior talents be included to all heroes in the game (god that would be another nightmare to deal with), then her wizard talent would come in very handy against Hathor

donā€™t get too hype guys. Sheā€™s just a normal hero. slightly below average. she only wins because of her high status (because of the new hero).

Hathor is fast. protect ailment. She is not a counter to hathor. unless sheā€™s fast speed.
Even Aramis is average. But protect ailment ( cant remove).

if She Dispell first, then reduce health, DoT, -75% decrease in health. Fast speed.
she just looks like sheā€™s about to shine.

Completely agree with this statement. Sheā€™s almost always going to be missing a portion of her special skill when she fires. Most of the health boosters that are relevant provide ailment protection, so her DOT is blocked. On top of that if the health isnā€™t boosted over max health she wonā€™t hit for the additional damage either. I want to believe she will be great, but at this point sheā€™s very easy to counter especially if you throw her on defense. For a new hero she doesnā€™t provide that ā€œwowā€ factor.
If she were to dispel first now she becomes much more relevant in the current meta.

Hot take, but DOTs should never have been lumped together as ailments in the first place, should have been a separate archetype of status effect. This has made DOTs quite useless from the beginning. When you have an offensive mechanic thatā€™s easily countered, thatā€™s a huge problem.

I just pulled her, going to push her to 90. Status ailment protection is the biggest problem, but i can work around that on offense with caedmon or archie, also want to pair with matilda for the extra damage.

Very happy with her at 85, keeping me around 3000 cups for the last 30 hours.

Not OP as Jove but thatā€™s great imho. Good balanced and as said above a good synergie with Matilda.

Slown down a little bit, her first skill will always pass and it is a huge deal, - 570 hp is not a joke.Yes her burn is amazing and huge but it do not make her useless.
