A tournament where I expected the results to be ugly actually ended up finishing in the top 1000 With all these level 60 heroes in defense, I did get 5 zeroes, but thanks to the matchmaking I didn’t face many super strong defenses. Good chance I won’t be LB2ing any 3* heroes unless the Rare challenge event scores show a significant increase.
Defense was not attacked as much as 4* tournaments, and was good enough for 5 As.
Loot was great too, 2 ETTs and 100 Sorcerer emblems.
See you all next week. Start of a stretch of 3 5* tournaments in 4 weeks. With level 90s, should be interesting… (Maybe not the 5* Rush No Yellow one )
I got my 3 3* aethers for top 50%
Top 10%
Offense: 13-4
Defense: 7-2
I only ran into 4 Treevil tanks (and lost to three of them). Perhaps it was the losses that gave me easier opponents, but I saw a number of double limit broken easier tanks including Namahage, Belith, Tyrum, Valen, Kornel, Noril, and Waqas. I saw some of these players have high regular rankings (~750K) so I’m guessing these are lower leveled players who used their alpha aethers because they don’t have much better. It made 3 star rush easier for me.

At first, I think it won’t hold in the leaderboard since it fall by 20+ rank in 3 hours after I do all attack. Then it seem to hold after that. Look like most of the leader board player do the attacks early .
The loot is pretty average by overall .
Zarel is useful to make Shrubbear charge in 6 tile and reduce the effect of enemy Treevil’s def down.
I had the same thought when I was upgrading her quickly before this tournament… but the reality turned out to be quite different.
Bear is a necessary hero in the fight against Trees (one green slot out).
Only Faiez can prevent Joku from “turning off” buffs (with Bear). He additionally heals and protects against all (not only def down) negative effects (second green slot out).
Belith… what can I say? There are too many Faiez and Bears buried in the Trees for me to give her up Of course I could use a Tyrum instead of one of the trees… but then I would fight with only one healer - too risky for me (third green slot out).
Fighting with four heroes from one element is also too risky for me.
So there is no room for Zarel in my attacking team… Especially since her doesn’t “accelerate” either Tree or Faiez (my other key characters).
…and reduction is not needed if you have Faiez protection
However, everything has its pros and cons - everyone chooses what is most important to him
I forget that you have LB2 Shrubbear. As you have LB2 Shrubbear, you don’t need to charge as fast as possible. For me, 6 tile Shrubbear have big effect since I don’t have LB2 Shrubbear .
I know that going with 1 healer is risky but for me, I don’t have better choice. If I don’t need dispell against enemy team, I will go with Faiez - Shrubbear - Zarel - Helo - Treevil. If I need dispell against enemy team, I will go with Faiez - Shrubbear - Zarel - Joukahainen - Treevil. I know don’t make Faiez and Treevi charge in 6 tile but Zarel make both Shrubbear, Helo and Joukahainen charge in 6 tile. The Shrubbear and Helo in 6 tile is very helpful for me. (Tyrum might be better than Joukahainen in some attack but I go with Joukahainen because my Joukahainen have LB2 but my Tyrum has only LB 1.)
Yeah, everything has its pros and cons. This combo seem to work best for me .
