They could have kept on the line giving him a unique power but he has a trap like he has something
Like an inverted mockery
-that the hero obtains 210% more damage for all allies but with a 30% probability that the damage generated is 1
I think a token like this would be good
I had wondered how long it would take for this thread to appear.
Thought tho that the request would be more to the effect of wanting Costume Wu-Kong to be a 4* version of Tarlak/ Miki/ Gazelle (i.e without the miss chance)
That would have been lovely. They screwed the pooch on that one.
Honestly @Guvnor that’s what I was hoping for, but even without removing the miss chance I found it a little odd that they turned him into a Springvale hero with the def down.
Of the costume specials I have looked at this is the weirdest one. But at least there’s the costume bonus

It would be illogical to ask for an invincible hero but they could, as he says, give a little effort and have done better

His costume will appease those who hate his base power due to miss chance. It’s an average speed hit all, which isn’t useless, and will boost his base stats.
Wu still avoids me in pulls and when I ran a tc20, I know alot of people who still use wu on titans and other game play and wanted a his costume to be like what guvnor said. I think that would of been a good idea.
I own miki soo would I use wu or even max him I don’t think I would, but if I got his costume I probably would as now it’s different completely different hero.
(I probably would of maxed the costume version if it was a mini miki etc)
Oh, I only use Wu if the titan reflects blues as I have Miki, during the first Mythic Titan event or for epic tiers in the monthly challenges that do not reflect yellows. His costume makes him a paladin that deals 210% damage to all at a base attack stat of 728, but he would be a poor tank because of the self ailment similar to Lepus. But he may be good on offense if accompanied by Gazelle or. Jean Francois or heroes that offer status protection.
I have his costume and I am maxing the costume version only to benefit from the maxed costumed bonus.
Actually yellow zone lack some punch for epics, so i don’t particulary dislike him and already upgrade two. (ditto i don’t have Mist or Gretel)
They basically created a costume nobody in their right mind would ever use

Some cards dont seem to be done willingly. I mean , for some heroes its clear all the love the company put on them at the time to create the ability.
On the other hand other heroes are builded like in a hurry, without imagination or without the willing to make the hero desirable at least.
I assume its to thin the portal a little bit, but who knows 
His hit is more or less what Colen deal, and Colen hit strong but on slow speed.
Overall the idea is to use emblemed one with costume (Attack path) and not emblemed as buffer.
Their 1-2 combo could istant knock out a lot of heroes and could be useful for events.
In my opinion, overall it is a bad costume - but I also think that is intentional, as Wu Kong is probably the most used 4 star card across the game. Didn’t need a costume to be loved so it was made a niche one. Additionally people are disappointed because ever since the costumes started being released, Wu Kong was anticipated to become a cheap version of Tarlak. SG knows money is with Tarlak and Miki, and any future titan specialist they release. They don’t want to have a cheap substitute.
Is there a place to use him? I think rush tournaments against purple centers if you play mono (I personally always play mono on these). 210% to all with his high attack is substantial - Li Xiu’s dmg is much lower (and you take her costume to mono with this rule anyway), Dan is comparable and with blind but at 33% chance of happening only, Hu Tao has higher % but lower attack stat and his costume actually makes it even worse… So yea, Wu Kong costume will be nice aoe dmg dealer there. I am happy taking Jack O’Hare in similar circumstances against blues and his dmg is satisfactory. Wu’s should be slightly higher.
DESPITE THE BUGS, THE COMBINATION OF WU + BOLSTU IS NOT SOMETHING TO TAKE TO THE LEAGUE AND FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT ACCESS MIKI OR TARLAK IT IS NOT BAD NOW I AM NOT FANS OF THE TOPS THAT THESE HEROES HAVE AND I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE TOPS WITHOUT BUGS .
NOW DESPITE THE FAILURE THE INCREASE IN WU + BOLS IS STILL WORTH IT FOR ME

apart from the theme it is assumed that the costumes were created to update the heroes that had been left behind with the creation of new heroes and others. I mean, it was to improve the hero a little and bring him to a more useful position with respect to the rest.
