Will players leave because of Limit Breakers?

That was not my observation in beta. It appeared to be a flat percentage. This invariably boosts S4 heroes more than S1 heroes.

Take for example this simple comparison between Lianna and Phileas Fogg from the live game.

Simply by limit breaking (not even leveling to 85) Phileas Fogg gets 3 more attack and 3 more HP than Lianna.

This game is getting very tiresome these days , been playing 3 years and it’s getting worse !
How they can justify getting trainer pulls using gems is a joke … and using season 4 coins and getting season 1 hero’s has just topped it off for me !
Now you can level heros even higher , it’s going to make a further divide in the F2P players and the ones who spend !

what I find sad though, is that even the “attainable” Leagues might get less attainable.

I enjoy 3* and 4* raid tournaments a lot, because 3s and 4s are easier to get than 5*s (even “premium” ones: Nordri, Kvasir, Proteus, Jackal etc. are much easier to get than Gazelle, Bera, Mother North…)

but the limit breakers combined with the recent admission by SG that:

a) they will keep releasing new seasons and new heroes,
b) but not prioritize 3s and 4s,
c) oh by the way 3s and 4s will never be added to Hero Academy,
d) and oh yeah, loot from season events like Valhalla Forever will never be improved, so good luck with your summons

left a bad taste in my mouth.

so will the future of these tournaments be, that the top spots are dominated by the spenders who have every single 3* and 4* out there? +20 emblems on them all, and all limit broken? (My best 3s are only +11, I don’t buy emblems, and I prioritized 4s and 5s because I use them in more game areas, so it is taking more time to trickle down to 3s…) I and many other FTPs compete heavily in tourneys, but in the recent 3* tourney we were commenting that most of us get kicked out by Day 4 because are lightly emblemed 3*s have trouble against +100 teams…)

It’s just not looking good for me, frankly.

I have no idea, why players keep complaining about this. I rather summon trainer heroes than s1 3* and 4* heroes, since they only lowered chances to get those for putting trainer heroes there. All event heroes pulling odds are same than in other events.

And that not really about limit breakers either.

So Frigg is the only one on defense who has limit breaker? If not then the defense team will also need 5 sets.

That is why I add this:

Phineas attack got increased by 2.9% while Lianna defense got increased by 2.9% so the damage remain unchanged. But because Lianna HP also got increased, the % of HP damaged is still reduced, prolonging the battle.

Furthermore, my statement still apply for 4* vs 5* as both got around 50 power increase even though 4* had 100-150 less power in original card.

In a hypotethical battle between a team of costumed S1 4* vs a team of costumed S1 5*, which of the scenario the 4* can fare better compared to the other scenarios?

  1. No Emblem No LB
  2. Full Emblem No LB
  3. Full Emblem Full LB

In the 1st scenario, it is 3725 vs 4325 》the 4* team is 86.13% of 5* team.
In the 2nd scenario, it is 4225 vs 4825 》the 4* team is 87.56% of 5* team.
In the 3rd scenario, it is 4475 vs 5075 》the 4* team is 88.18% of 5* team.

The answer is the 3rd scenario. So LB is actually reducing the gap between 4* to 5*, which is F2P friendly.

If only a lot more understand this, I don’t think there will be mass exodus.

This infographic should answer your question

It’s already like that up top :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, but you don’t usually use mono or 3-2 or 4-1 on defence teams. It will take much longer to build attacking teams agaist those defences, if you don’t play rainbow and use same team for all teams.

Also since you can’t reset those, it leads to basically you holding same war defence for most war types. That might become boring in some point.

All depends how often those quest are and what odds is getting those.

I don’t see this feature f2p friendly or benefit them or anyone else. Maybe for new “whales” and p2w players are those, who will be benefit it most, since it will make cap between them and old players smaller.

I am far more likely to quit because of non-S1 hero costumes roll out in the future than this, although it will certainly make me angry.

I already see far less reason to summon for new heroes with this around - I still have dozens that are slowly crawling toward the top awaiting either ascension mats or emblems. Buying roster space has become painfully expensive for me as it gradually goes up. Without solution to dupe heroes yet, I am not willing to just eat my dupes away yet, so it really is difficult to manage the roster.

Now with limit breakers I’ll probably focus on the bird in the hand, which is already expensive enough. Especially that a lot of new heroes are ‘niches’ as SG tries out new things. Limit Breakers in its core just murder niche heroes and ‘specialists’, as they are pushed down, down the priority list. “Fun” heroes are behind Cobalt, Garnet, Killhare etc.

So will I leave - probably not, but I’ll probably not see a point spending too much on new heroes. The risk of them ‘eventually’ getting a costume in the future makes me even less want to chase non-costumed versions.

And due to the scarcity of 5* aether, building the attack team will be longer for those whose team fully consisted of 5* (whales) than those whose team still supported by many 4* (F2P).

My strategy in 3* or 4* tourney is picking 20 heroes (4 of each color and 2 of each class). I have 20 fully emblemed 3* and 18 fully emblemed 4*. Limit breaker won’t change anything as the emblem already decide on who will get LB. No need to own them all.

No no. Shane has been with me since the very beginning and I hate to say and hope he doesn’t read this but I probably couldn’t go on without him there it’s like he really holds everything together and taught me(us) everything. He’s the backbone of everything. Seems he’s hanging in there. He’s not liking the new stuff but seems he’s ok.

Black knight quit. Thanks for asking my beasty quit and came back so we have open arms and understand this is stressful for some. Hugs for you sam your the sweetest most caring :pensive::panda_face::heart::heart:

You are assuming that a limit broken 4* can compete with an emblemed +20 5*, whereas in my experience a +20 4* can generally only compete with an unemblemend 5*.

There are exceptions of course, but mainly in the healers.

I still use 12 fully emblemed 4* in war against fully emblemed 5*. 5 of them are healers.

Which 4* do you use in war @yelnats_24
Thanks

These 9 heroes:

Costum Unequipped Kiril

And 3 of these:

Nb: I don’t have Wilbur… I want to use Wilbur instead of Gormek…

Heads up: There’s been quite a few ongoing posts that, while related to limit breakers, the aspect is off-topic.

I am flagging some posts because while I understand a few posts here and there is fine, however it looks like it just keeps going.

Please know it’s nothing personal. :slightly_smiling_face: Kindly use the appropriate thread for your discussion.

I use a pile too. I’m tasked with taking down 4650+ teams just for context.

Guardian Jackal
C.Kiril
Almur
Guardian Falcon
Rigard (will use both sides depending on war type)

So that’s one each in my front line monos

Then when I get to the 6th hit I will pick a pure smash mono from the “2nd string” so to speak. This is tank and team dependent but I’ll pull from the following:

Grimm (I have both a costume and base to team up together)
Wilbur
C.Colen
Scarlett
Gullibursti
Boldtusk
Triton

I’m looking at a 2nd yellow and I’m interested in Wu Kongs outfit as a solid yellow hit all. Would then bring Li Xui, Mist and Woolerton into play.

My 6th team used to be my Epic Red event team and it would smash teams 600+ better than it. You get a board with that and it was game over.

So whilst 5* will eventually replace 4* if you have them I still use and love and 4*. Going to level Marcel for a green team soon as well

To make this relevant to the topic I think these are all useable in the Limit breaker world and should be considered for limit breakers before you decide to quit

I have, as of today retired from the game. Level 76, spent far too much money and cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel. The QA with the devs showed a level of cockiness and self assured direction that filled me with despair, they have only one agenda and that is to make as much money as they can short term. I don’t think they have enough imagination and direction to take the game much further than they have. All the focus is on releasing stronger and stronger 5 star heroes and the pricing is obscene. I have loved playing the game and have loved my alliances but the addictive side of my personality puts me in a position that’s not sustainable, at least I don’t want it to be. Limit breakers are idiotic and I’m so glad that I won’t be part of this next chapter. So from me, give em’ hel, over and out xx

@GiveEmHel … sorry to see you go. But fully understand your reasoning. You are not the first and you certainly won’t be the last.
I wish you well in your future endeavours.
