Why can’t I summon the hero of the month?

I get HOTM ALL THE TIME. I just got Vela during a costume summons, bringing my total to 4. Honestly, I pull HOTM more frequent than ANY other 5*. I do single summons to pull the HOTM, I don’t get them during 10 pulls. I know this sounds corny, but you have to throw positive energy into your summons. Just imagine and assume your gonna get it; VISUALIZE the hero and you’ll get it, TRUST ME!!!

I pulled 500-600 times in the last year and total 0 HOTMs for me :frowning: I guess my luck goes to those who share their lucky screenshoots here

I’ve been playing since August and am CTP (apparently, as I’ve bought a couple of the 0.99 & 1.99 offers) and have been fairly laid back about the chance of getting ANY 5* nevermind the HOTM. As it stands at the moment I have a decent collection of 4* but only ONE 5*. And that was December’s HOTM, pulled along with a repeat 4* Boldtusk.

My motto is just not to expect anything. Just assume you’ll pull a 3* and then it’s always a nice surprise if you get something more interesting.

Folks know I never get the HOTM (and I mean never), but I get some nice 5* here and there, and live vicariously through the summon wins of my alliance mates.

Madafaka, It’s random, totally random, soI its possonle you wont get one for 6 months and then you get 2. I got Neith and Grimble in quick succession and without spending a lot. in fact, they both came when I did a single pull, Neith with Kiril and Grimble with some 3 star. So dont wait for it, dont spend any extra money on it, eventually you get in. you can’t force these things.

Apologies for all the typos. I tried to add your name later, Madafaka, so it happened.

Yes and no: some get it a lot, and some don’t get it at all (raises hand), such is the RNG bell curve.

I have actually had much better luck with getting HOTM on single pulls vs 10 pulls. I play the percentages and pull when I know a lot of people are pulling. Maybe it just seems like it but it seems to help.

It’s all about choice. Do you risk your cash for a chance or not? I have spent many £’s on this game & believe it all boils down to luck! I will continue to spend my hard earnt money on this great game but realise it’s not guaranteed to get me what I want/need. Suck it up buttercup & enjoy

Sorry for the redundant seems like in last post…lol. I meant it seems to me that I get better luck when I know a lot of people are pulling. Start of events and such.

I generally pay for 2 30x pulls per Atlantis (which I will not be doing very soon). Most times I lucked into getting hotm, but not always. It’s annoying when you don’t get it… but it’s all about luck.

Now, I’ve long wished there was a way to guarantee hotm after a certain number of pulls, but I think that is very unlikely

Took, that’s pretty much what I meant. There’s no way to force a 5* one wants, an event hero or an Hotm. As you said: that’s the nature of rng.

I have been playing since mid September and Grimble was my first 5 star hero too. Pulled him on a single token along with Balthazar, who I was equally pleased to see since I hadn’t yet pulled him.

I like Grimble, and I like to think he brought me luck because the week I pulled him my luck with the summons definitely changed for the better.

I was at the casino the other day and spent $100 on the slots with no jackpot!!! Someone next to me spent $5 and got a jackpot!!! Not fair! I demand that the casino give me back my money AND give me the jackpot to compensate for the unfairness. Are you listening to me, casino???

Welcome, Diablo57. Luck, RNG…different words for ‘you have no influence over what is happening.’ I think if this was accepted by all and secondly, people would not spend above their limit, this would be so much easier. I shudder when I read stuff like ‘I spend thousand dollars a month’ - even if i had that much disposable income, it would go on something else, but, hey, as long as it’s disposable …oops…I think I am going off topic. Great game though, I agree🤗

Bro is simply luck, it sucks yes i know.
I did around eight summons at teltoc and vela showed up.
I did around 15 summons after that , some in teltoc and some others in costume chamber and no vela.
I did only a golden token summon when i started playing and got grazul.

You can do 100 summons but if there is no luck so the hero of the month is not going to be pulled. Its not about something being fair or unfair, is it as the game works.

I hope you can get the hero, but adjust to a budget to avoid overspending

I came into this Atlantis event intending my first 10 pull. I’m c2p, only spending on VIP. Never pulled a 5*, and not at tc20 yet. I had 300 event coins, and decided to make 3 single pulls before the 10 pull…

Luck of the draw. I’m c2p. Typically I save gems I get during gameplay until I have enough for a 10 pull, though that was before getting TC20. Now I mainly limit pulls using tokens, Atlantis coins, Challenge coins and the new Costume keys. I was lucky early on to get two HotM pulls consecutively as bonus pulls. Recently also got this month’s hero. My TC20s have been on a rather barren run of 5* characters, though did get a couple of 4* characters recently.

I do look around and see other players who have far lower XP with higher tiered characters than I ever did when I was at their level. Luck? Money? I’ve no idea. But unlike another game I know of, Empires and Puzzles is pure chance when it comes to pulls; there is no memory of what you last pulled. Each pull is a fresh roll of the dice. Spending money or using tokens, etc. just gives you more pull opportunities but does not guarantee you getting what you want.

That’s me lol. Just leveled up to 31 yesterday. No luck or money. GRINDING to collect heroes and troops to level up.

A telltale sign of those that spend too much too early is low leveled troops. Something I always look for in raid matchups.
