Which green gets the tonics?

I’m leaning toward Ahmose or Ferrus, but I think Fogg’s EDD is slightly better than Ferrus. I don’t have a green 5* with EDD so that’s a big factor but Ahmose is a major PITA whenever I face him, though I don’t have any other season 5 5* to pair him with.

Ferrus’s construct family bonus is a bit iffy, I’ve tried it a little at 1/1 just while farming and the charge thing is good at 100% but you have no control over how fast it gets there, so if anyone has experience with that at a higher level, I’d be interested in if it’s any good. His stats and special are pretty good even without it tbh.

Other options are. Viselus, Heimdall (no costume) or Zeline but I’m not super excited about any of those.

I have Ahmose and he is absolute beast! You will never regret you chose him.

Ferrus looks very interesting as well. Though choice between those two.

Ferrus is just a great all arounder and straightforward hero. Great for titans, events, and wars.

Ahmose is also great, but slow, hence not that straightforward to use. Needs some good board or some mana-boosting tricks from companions.

If you don’t have Evelyn / Almur - which I’m assuming you don’t, as you state not having an EDD in nature - then the answer is simple:

Ferrus

I pulled this dude too, and I’m not all that excited bout him either, but that’s cuz I have Evelyn. Ferrus has the highest EDD in nature in this game (yes, even better than Phileas Fogg - less he comes with his costume, then they’re equal), and that is so essential for both titans and synergetic pairings. If I didn’t have my Evelyn, I wouldn’t even hesitate… but since I do - comparatively - his EDD is one turn less, at slower speed, and without added utility of dispel… So :pensive: (hence why I’m not sold)

Ahmose

Is the only other one I’d consider, but he’d mostly be for rush, less you can build a team around speeding him up. He’d also be a bit more fun, I think.

Cinisia

Seems to have fans, but idk, I’m not all that enthralled with her… reminds me of a slightly faster Otis. But if ya need just damage, I spose she could offer something, too.

That’s an awesome summary, thank you! Definitely sold on ferrus now!

Yep, it’s hard to get too excited for slow heroes these days! I’m definitely leaning toward Ferrus, my roster isn’t that deep yet so it’s better to have an all rounder than a specialist!

I’m leaning toward Ahmose or Ferrus , but I think Fogg’s EDD is slightly better than Ferrus’s.

Was going to explicate but saw @RandaPanduh 's post. As per usual, it’s spot on. Cosign.

@RandaPanduh if it was a choice between Evelyn and Ferrus who would you pick (if you didn’t have either ascended)? Evelyn is faster and EDD lasts an extra turn, but Ferrus has better stats, better passive, more damage etc. Just curious :stuck_out_tongue:

PS - agree with Randa and voted Ferrus

Oof, that’s tough for me, as I have a personal bias with Evelyn… I love her.

Evelyn

Well, if you plan on summoning for her costume when it’s featured, I’d say Evelyn no question (as it’ll help those old and creaky stats). Even without it tho, I love the fast speed EDD for offense - as I’ve had all five EDD 5* in each color, and the average speed ones (holy and ice) have always been my least favorite for this very reason… Speed is king. Not to mention the dispel… comes in handy so often, and pairs exceedingly well with heroes like El Naddaha and Archie. Evelyn wins offensively, as I love me some support.

Ferrus

If you have dispel covered elsewhere though (esp if you’re using Hatter, as Evelyn and Hatter do not mix well), prefer raw damage over support and/or have the necessary mana troops / mana boosts to help necessitate Ferrus along [to being fast], only then would I choose him. That, or your priority is titans/events over raid/war offense, as Ferrus wins in that arena, no doubt (as speed is less of a factor there). He’d also be better defensively too… but I’m never a fan of any EDD on defense personally.

(& I just happen to prefer offense over everything)

It’s a tough choice, no doubt. And I think my bias is affecting my answer here a bit, but hopefully I’ve given ya something to ponder

Hi @RandaPanduh,

There is at least one good case for using Evelyn and the Hatter together and that’s when you are dealing with taunt. Evelyn dispells the taunt and then the Hatter steals everything else. This combo tends to get an outing in most of my wars.

Agree with the rest of your analysis, it is spot on!

Thanks for the analysis, they never cease to disappoint! Oh I would love Evelyn’s costume but I’m not gonna chase, I hate ToL  Definitely gives me a lot to ponder so thank you!

Hello,

Can you please tell who you consider to be best between Ferrus and Gelert?
I don t have any other 5 stars on green except Myoin-Ni.
Let’s say dispel is covered by Ray or Vaishali and for healing i can also mix Thalassa instead of Myoin.

Thank you!

The dangerous thing with Ferrus on def is not the EDD, but the passive poison mixed in with the active bleeding.
The core is more likely to build in defense, and the passive hits everyone even with taunt up. The combination of bleed and poison is easily 500 hp each turn. Pretty deadly if you dont have your defenses ready

Ferrus has far more utility, as his use case expands far past raids, into challenge events and titans.

Gelert is a great sniper, but his secondary effect of mana gen would be duplicating Myoin-ni (so they wouldn’t play well together).

So less you needed the extra speed, I’d go with Ferrus personally.

You’re responding to a post that’s five months old, made when cores - and Ferrus himself - just hit the scene.

…I’d say it’s pretty obvious now that that’s what makes Ferrus good defensively. But as my comparison has already listed Ferrus as holding the lead defensively, there’s really no point in adding it [here]. Better listed in the Ferrus thread where it belongs, to maybe help someone in the future, as the decisions being made here are long over

Trust me, Ferrus doesn’t look as dangerous as he is, Ahmose is great, however, Ferrus is just better, he will single-handedly kill 3 of your team with his hit and DoT core, stupid annoying to go against.

Thank you both for answering, since i m a new player each one helped me.
I think may interested is first on building a defense, i have like 10 players at level 90 and 85 and i m trying to build on them. For now every morning i see myself -150 coups. Yeah i win some fights also but i lose much more.

in the last event i received 2 Ferrus, 3 Brimstone and Shall. So now i m trying to use them and improve my defense.

Yeah, sorry, the thread popped up as new so did not notice the gap in timing.
Didn’t mean to criticize, just offer some input
