So much of this. 975 XP per WE is simply unbeatable anywhere in the game, Atlantis included. I make it a goal to level up at least once during each event, even if it means replaying rare 3 literally hundreds of times.
Rare 3 is the best place to farm monsters bar none. Each stage is 9 guaranteed monsters, and you can fill the chest in 12 WE. Incidentally, if you’re after free feeders and troops, rare 3 is also the best stage for that. This is why I farm rare 3 religiously during each event, and it proves to be very profitable every time.

I did this the other day on my New account to get to lvl 15 asap leveled 3 times in that day.
Does become a chore haha!

That’s why the autofarm button exists. 
But no really, rare 3 is easy enough that a rag tag team of 3* can autofarm it no problem as long as you don’t use the reflected color.
Haven’t got a strong enough team to auto farm,
I only levelling up hero’s once my capacity is maxed.
