Yes his balance of high attack while buffing defense is super useful especially with the prevalence of defense down specials. Makes a great flank for tanks. Without ascending him his defense is too low.

Unless you plan to spend some serious cash to get Arthur, Alice, or even Athena maybe if she comes around in Atlantis, I would say yes, Magni is a definitely worth the mats. Isarnia is worth ascending. Blue has a great range of 5* heroes. And not only!. The 4* are also worth having around!

I want to respond with a snide, cheeky comment but I’ll refrain.
Magni is a great hero.
I learned a long time ago that, unless it is Thorne or Quintus, you play with what you have not what you could draw in the future.
You will not regret maxing Magni and you will (eventually) get more scopes. If Ariel is in your future, you can keep her at 3/70 and use her as you please until you gather enough scopes.
Magni will increase your enjoyment in the game. I can’t wait to ascend mine.

Nah, I’d pull the trigger on Magni. He’s a “no regrets” hero. The Atlantis blue 5* is Ariel, an excellent healer, but given the low odds of getting her and the balance of offense vs. defense, I think Magni today is a fine choice.

Odds are low, but waiting for March may be worth it. SG may change the card completely, of course.

i heard somewhere , next month HOTM would be Blue , it is polar bear and roughly similar as Arthur but with splash damage.
i agree that Magni is “no regret hero” , one of best glass cannon ingame , but well he is just too squishy in Defense.

This is very difficult 
If you have Alasie, you probably don’t need Magni on 4/80. You can have him at 3/70, he will be useful for wars.
