This is what can be achieved without any 5* hero or significantly lucky 4* pull (based on my recent experience):
Reach diamond arena
Come first in W3K
Complete goblin and astral elves quests
Complete first 25 levels of tower
Complete omega quest
Complete ascension mat quests
I didn’t do it the last time around but I am fairly confident that for the next challenge evnet I will be able to complete the legendary level. Hoping to also complete the covenant quest next time it comes around (last attempt I got to level 6 or 7)
My main team is now around 4.3K TP, 2 3s and 3 4s
This is not a brag post, this is to show what is possible to achieve with:
regular pulling luck
no 5*s
no spending
careful management of resources including battle items
efficient use of energies (I am active but I have not come anywhere near using all of me WE, it would sit at max for hours at a time. I hate grinding. But wherever possible I would autoplay to try to avoid this)
tactical path towards upgrading buildings and researching
tacitcal approach towards upgrading heroes
Hopefully it helps someone out there. I came very close to not attempting a number of the above mentioned quests ( many of them have tp recommendations well above what i was able to put together) but since doing them I see how feasible it is even with a very limited roster.
I started almost exactly 12 months ago, no prior experience of this game or similar (unless you count candycrush, but I’m not sure being able to line up tiles is a massive advantage). Have now bought 7 PoV passes, 1 PoG, but hopefully that’s still c2p.
I made Diamond in month 6, haven’t slipped out since.
You are doing more than ok! The game is such that you can progress at whatever pace you want to and your pace seems quite efficient.
Only feedback ill give is your account is clearly capable of hitting higher level titans, you may want to consider changing alliances if you want more titan loot
I prioritised farming, titans, and 3/4 star tournaments ahead of developing 5 stars, so my war capabilities still suck (e.g. I don’t have viable tanks in every colour yet). Have to balance titan loot vs not being a war liability, or just ditch wars until I’ve got 1LB tanks in every colour.

The word “regular”, does this mean regularly pulling great heroes from portals? just kidding. Tho, some might be prompted to think that.
“regular pulling luck” misses the mark, if the target is utilizing what you got
Then the new player will need an extensive knowledge of game synergies and uses for each. Ergo, what they do with their regular pulling luck, is exceedingly unlikely to follow the same path.
This should be emphasized, by adding that you should not work on a legendary even if you do manage to “regularly” get them. That would bog the new player down and impede their progress.
Will a new player in their first 3 months make that mistake?
