War start times: Teams vote to adjust

Seeing that this is an international game with players in all timezones, the start times can be inconvenient.

There are two wars per week with a 24 hour prep time and 24 hour war time (3 attacks to start, and 3 more at the 12 hour mark).

I propose that since the opposing teams are determined at the start of the prep time, each member of an alliance can cast a vote during the first 12 hours of prep time to offset the war start time by up to +/-12 hours in one hour increments. Once the votes are tallied from a team it is compared to the final time voted on by the other team and the new start time is a compromise halfway between the two times each team voted for.

It would be easy to display and understand “war starts in xx:xx hours, vote for start time to be adjusted by +/-12 hours (25 voting options from a pulldown, one option for each hour to be offset)”.
Alliances are max 30 players, and there are 4 types of members: leaders, co-leaders, elder, members. Each type would have a different vote weight (leaders 10, co-leaders 5, elders 2, members 1).

If SG implemented this it would create a splash in the app gaming community and they would get recognition for being extremely player friendly/considerate.

I’m just tacking on links to some related ideas for cross-referencing — these attempt to address the same issue with different approaches to the solution:
