Valen's skill not levelling, is it worth continuing?

So I’ve fully maxed Valen, but his skill is still sitting at level 3 of 8.

Is it worth continuing to try and max his special, or should I concentrate on my other 3* Blues which are Ulmer and Karil?

Unsure if it is. Depending mostly if you are f2p or spending money

You can finish leveling the special after he’s maxed level, at 5x chance for leveling special. i.e. a 1* will provide a 5% chance and a 2* will provide a 10% chance.

All three of those 3* blues are worth leveling until you start getting some non-S1’s.

I’ve done it before, but for some reason I’m really struggling with this one.
I’m feeding him blues only, but I think he hates me.
Which is fine, because I got him on a time out!

I have him with costume and LB and I never maxed his special on costume for an extra bonus. Now, I have tons of super 3* sitting on 1/1

When I’ve run into 3* heroes that aren’t at 8/8 on their special yet even after completely levelling them, I feed them heroes until they get up to a 100% chance of levelling the special. That way, I’m guaranteed that their special will level each time, so I’m not wasting heroes on anything less than a sure thing. I don’t like leaving heroes partially levelled, so I always believe in levelling a hero completely once you’ve started. And Valen’s a pretty decent one if all you have is 3* classic heroes.

By 5x chance, it actually makes a single 1* blue feed to Valen at max 3^50 to be 10%, not 5%, since you already get 2% from a single blue 1* feeder when Valen is not maxed.

So by this, you can, feed him 5x 2* blue at Valen’s current stage, which will give him the 100% needed to up special by 1.

If you give them 1 or 2 heroes at the time it is not going to work, in order to guaranty 100% of leveling you have to do the following:

5 2* of the same element, or
10 1* of the same element, or
10 2* of different element

each 2* same element gives you 20%
each 1* of the same element gives you 10%
each 2* of different element gives you 10%
each 1* of different element gives you 5%

you can combine them but you always have to reach 100% to guaranty leveling up

Thanks for your suggestions.
I’ll give him another shot at levelling for a while and see what happens.
I’ve never had a hero that low after levelling, so I was getting fustrated.

You have to save your blues until you have a mix that comes to 100%. 1* is 10 % and 2* is 20%. Everytime you feed Valen 100%, he will gain a level.

when i started you didn’t get to level after maxing a character. I had Ulmer stuck at 5 for a long time before they changed the rules to allow special max after level max.

3* heroes have your type of situation and will require patience once you have decided to level up. The suggestion of @egeovannyam is perfect and I follow the same approach since 2 years now once my 3* reaches 3/50.
