Use Relegation/Promotion in Raid Challenges

One of the most viewed threads of all time on the Forum is the Alchemy Lab proposal thread. Many of the other most viewed posts are outside of #general-discussion too.

In my experience, the visibility of a given thread depends more on interest and appropriate placement than just being in #general-discussion.

As an example, many requests for roster advice posted in #general-discussion get fewer responses than those properly posted in #gameplay-help-tactics.

It also helps to have a thread title that clearly states what the thread is about, so people will click on it.

The #ideas-feature-requests section also has the benefit of allowing voting, so ideas can gain support. And the lifespan of threads in this section is much longer, since the idea posts are meant to stick around for indefinite reference or until implemented.

We also know that SGG reads this section, both because they’ve responded to and linked to threads in it, and because they mentioned it during the AMA.

So on the whole, yes, I think people will see it in #ideas-feature-requests.

That said, there are currently an extremely large number of posts in both the main Raid Tournament threads and several offshoots about Raid Tournaments. If you care primarily about visibility, joining an existing thread with heavy traffic is always more likely to yield views and engagement than creating a new one.

And that’s especially true with so many threads open right now.
