Unresolved: Unable to connect in Australia

I know there is another thread concerning this issue but it seems to have petered out. I have been unable to connect, I realise the SG developers think it’s an Optus network specific issue but I tried to connect via Wi-Fi in a McDonald’s and still couldn’t connect.

Could the staff of SG please advise what is going on?
