MT was from 2020. Not 2021. I only started tracking in 2021 out of curiosity.
I guess that more play rare for events because more would have decent 3* to play with. After that comes 4*. Getting 5* is probably the biggest hurdle, even with spending since it’s up to RNG.
Ah ok, I was looking at the numbers in the recent post, not the original recorded event numbers… it is actually declining at a pretty similar rate then cause Aug21 to Aug22 was a 28% decline so that would imply another 25-30%ish from 2020 to 2021… it won’t equal 50% cause we are changing the baseline comparison.

Bear in mind that many seasoned players (including myself) adopted a more casual approach to the game, where they’d not bother playing events because it’s too time-consuming, yet log in daily to the game and thus should be considered as “active”
Could we somehow keep track of the downloads as well, in order to get an idea of the actual player turnover ? (new players replacing older that quit)
Not accurate cos those downloads include players who need to reinstall the app for their own reasons.

Maybe some people are saving items for Mythic Titan or CoK? Or it could be a number of other reasons.
I’m currently 6076 in total damage for MT and it says I’m in the top 5%. If it’s true it means the number of players who will attend this MT will be at an all-time low. Like 50% less than in May 2021.
Yeah looking like a low participation rate right now… I will say this shifted about 200 places from morning, 5800s was 5%
It was >600k by Day 1 in the last (August) round, which was 794k.
Not sure if it will exceed 750k this round.
