So some interesting (to me) things fell out of a random thread in Bug Reports of all things questioning the HP value of a titan.
Upon some fairly easy analysis a couple things were shown:
Every Titan HP value that I could check is divisible evenly by 22000
There is a lot of variation in Titan HP values in the current game even for a given titan star level.
I put together a WIP spreadsheet, and there’s some gaping holes especially in the 1-6* titan range; 7/8 are not awesome, 9/10* was able to fill in moderately well.
If you are tracking titan data for an alliance, or just even tracking titan loot pictures for yourself, I’d would greatly appreciate anything you can give me from 12/1/17 onward (rough 1.9 release date even if it was a few days earlier) especially on the lower titans where there just isn’t that much data.
Will endeavour to edit this as you go, my leader tracks daily so I’ll scour back through her line posts. Thanks Hawayo if you’re reading this!!
7-9* titans so should fill some blanks.
Missing titans are in italics, as it won’t let me bold them for some reason.
It looks like there’s exactly 8 steps in each Titan level; appears to hold identically for 9 / 10* where I have a lot of data, 6/7/8* have gotten 8 as well. Haven’t gone looking for patterns on the increases, but largest step so far has a scale factor of 3 (3 * 22000 = 66000) and smallest is increments of 1 (22K difference).
My guess at this point is when they twiddle with titans they just change the scale factor and everything else follows (ATK / DEF too).
1-5* are absolutely wretched as of right now haha. Not sure how to sort that quickly, those don’t come over Merc chat often and most alliances in that range likely aren’t on the forums either. Ah beta testers will probably have 1* again for AW!
Right now just trying to establish all of the HP levels in game; my old theory before was you had a chance to move up or down or stay the same on titan stars, but it’s looking much more sophisticated seeing all these discrete levels inside individual star values.
Ultimately I’d like to see a couple alliances over time and just the tale of the tape: Titan, *, HP, result including percentage left if escape, hell even speed on kills. We (collectively) were kinda wrong about some things, we might be there too. Possible example of this: both the new alliances recently started under the Seven Days umbrella moved to high level titans at surprising speed, and that was not the case with some newbie alliances I played in… something might have changed, or maybe our underlying assumptions were wrong.
To be clear: not sure that speed is even a thing I’m just spitballing; we kill titans pretty effectively in Departed and we drop back off the max value HP fairly often actually, so I suspect there’s still a roll involved.
Then go looking for patterns. I don’t know if we’re going to get that far, it’s a long term project for alliances at various levels… but maybe we can figure it out; but this is a first step and I greatly appreciate everyone’s assistance on it!
Just saw this thread, here is some low star titan stats to help round out your data. I’ll keep tracking - my alliance will probably level out around 3-5* range for awhile.
Feb 5, 1*, 88000hp
Feb 6, 1*, 88000hp
Feb 7, 1*, 88000hp
Feb 8, 1*, 154000hp StoneSkin Dragon
Feb 9, 2*, 264000hp, Emerald Dragon
Feb 10, 2*, 308000hp, Water Dragon
Feb 11, 3*, 440000hp, Demon Lord
Feb 12, 3*, 440000hp, Raging Hydra
Yeah 4* and below is where it’s at now; 5* and up have a full 8 tiers of HP inside the Titan level, and it’s clear based on the data so far that any of the titans can spawn at any of the available multiples of 22K for that given Titan star level.
It breaks down at the lower tiers though; there’s simply no way that 1*'s can have 8 levels, right now only found 5 and there’s only room for one more (198000 hp) before we get to the current lowest HP seen in 2*'s which is 222000; if 198000 exists (22k * 9) it might belong to 2* as well as that so far is missing some too as multiples of 16 and 17 I haven’t found yet either (though they could be 3* as well).
There appears to be some which are way less common than others, like the 176K 1* which I’ve never seen except if I see escapes in some recently dying alliance logs that I’ve wandered through over the past few days. Every successful alliance I’ve seen in killing their titans so far has jumped right past that, and it’s just not that hard to do it when fairly new accounts can get to 5-10k hits on a 1* as I’m finding in my test alliance.
Now to sort the confusing mess that is 1-3*'s haha. Can’t get the full 8 HP tiers inside the titan star levels on all of them since there doesn’t seem to be any titans smaller than 88000 including in dead alliances of 30+ escapes.
And this is part two of the project; very early, but already can illustrate that damage appears to change inside a titan star level between different HP tiers: aka the attack stat of the titan increases too.
There isn’t enough data to get this numbers exactly accurate, but this is a sample from two different 1* Ember Dragons, 1 at 110k and the other at 154k HP, for their average slash damage (non-special) against fixed targets.
And the very early rough data, again damage is the average of incoming slash attacks from the titan:
Also have data for these heroes tile damage against the titans but that’s a more complicated analysis as I have to factor out the cascade combo multipliers and critical hits to get to a base damage. That’ll be fun haha, tomorrow’s project.
