I have been using critcal troops for Magic heros since their release. Mana troops dont effect them. I think it works the same on Ninja heros

This is false. Mana Troops absolutely have an effect on Magic and Ninja Family charge rates. Here is a Topic solely on Mana Speed which has information on this in the discussion.
