The $$$ Cost of E&P

My friend lost a relationship and had to move back to their parents because they were unable to pay rent, bills, or buy groceries. And this was a person that was otherwise, generally very sensible. You would never have known that they were blowing their entire paycheck in one sitting.

And SG knows how to try and milk it. This offer has appeared for the second time within the past month in my alt’s account. (First was blue, but basically the same kind of deal). That acount is ctp, meaning vip and flash offers. It never appeared in my main account, where I buy diamonds.

It is clearly seen as an account that can be “tempted”.
Notice the offer is simultaneous with the 9500 diamond offer

When you start playing you get very good offers, with a very good price-gems cost ratio, they are provoking little by little, and then the offers increase their value and you want more … luckily I do not get into that spiral

Spending more than one can comfortably afford sounds like a symptom of gambling addiction, in which case they might benefit from either learning strategies for handling the addiction better or just avoiding the temptation by not spending at all in these types of games. I do think that SG should publish odds to temper players’ expectations, but even without the odds I don’t necessarily think that the game is responsible for its players’ poor choices.

Makes me facepalm a bit. When the casino advertises here they have to tag at the end?

“Gambling problem? Call 1-800-gambling for help” which I assume is a support line for those with a gambling addiction versus a hotline where one may gamble more easily.

Anywho. I’ve said it before I’ll says it again. There should be, and I’ll say “eventually will be” such tags in online games as well.

If you’re Gonna slam a gambling ad in someone’s face as soon as they open up the “game” then at least at the bottom it’ll say "gambling problem? Don’t play this game :stuck_out_tongue: "

I don’t get those offers. However, I have indulged in micro offers. A few hundred gems for 2,5 euro. And I’ve seen quite a lot of those offers appear over time on my account. They definitely profile us to decide what kind of offers we get.

Cigarettes to have such ads though.

What is name of valuta R$?

Of course the game isn’t responsible.

I have to wonder though when threads pop up with people complaining about the results of thousands of pulls they’ve made over a few months. Apparently even now they blame the game, and not themselves for their wallet management.

Edit: maybe they have a massive disposable income to spend how they like, that’s fine, but spending in this case seems to be a source of great frustration to them and not pleasure.

Those are brazilian reais, roughly 100 americandollars

a little less than 81, actually, with today’s rate.

I "steal"your offer and post it in my thread.

Also thank you @Melchior for this topic, so simple and yet a precious reminder to bring all of us back to reality.

Hello Mel. Leader & last remaining of 3 original Co-founders of Viking Warriors here, White¤Warrior, United States.
I’ve learned this ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR fact from our Australian member.
One of our Alliances Co-founders was Australian also. The other is American, who left due to the frustrating aspects and direction SGG has been going for some time now.
I wasn’t aware the Australian dollars are different than Americas. I do understand that Australia is under British rule.
So who do we hold accountable? I say both, SGG and Britain.
But this is a RPG game created by SGG. So where, or what do we do to change this issue?
It’s an outrageous aspect of the E&P game!
Sincerely,
White¤Warrior

The British absolutely do not rule Australia, heck we can barely govern ourselves!

Blame us for marmite, piers Morgan and the daily mail if you feel you must but please do not pin the exchange rates in a little online game on us.

Haha priceless guys! Dont forget Rupert Murdoch, hes our fault too.

In Australia a 10,000 pack of gems costs $160.00.

Dam the prices are awful for Australian buyers. As said, in the USA its ‘only’ 100USD.

If the online calculator Im using can be trusted: 1.00USD has the value equivalent to 1.39AUD (rounded). So for equivalent value, you should only being charged 139AUD. So you’re getting cheated out of > 20 bucks.

Real $$$ cost for pulls are:
1 = $4.48
10 = $44.80

I don’t buy the regular store priced gems (huge ripoff imo), but the smallest bundle is 400 gems for $4.99. One of the larger packs gets you enough to do a x10 summon with —2800 gems for $29.99 so ours definitely costs less than that. Its still expensive imo.

If I want to save up to do a x10 summon it doesn’t even cost me half of that though. It costs me $12.95. (_VIP pass $4.99 for 900 gems + 7.96 for all 4 atlantis offers available each month that gets you 1,600 gems _) The last 100 gems is extremely easy to get in a couple weeks from opening chests, killing titans, completing misisons, doing the collect gems quest etc.

There’s 10% Value Added Tax in there, @Decorum. And the US prices don’t include the tax collected, because that’s done by Google & Apple.

So:

$160AUD / 1.1 = $145.45 AUD before tax

At $1.39 AUD to the USD, that’s:

$145.45 / 1.39 = $104.64 USD. And the exchange rate has probably fluctuated since the price was set. So it’s not exactly like there’s some huge pricing discrepancy.

Thank you very much for the Governing education! I truly appreciate your sense of humor.
I feared my post may ruffle some feathers.
I was referring to whomever governs your Currency. :relaxed:
I am always pleased to be properly educated about other Countries too.
Thanks again Gruntface! I like your name…

Thank you Garanwyn! Since I am a visual learning type, it’s helpful seeing the differences in typed form.
I still feel it’s asking a lot for Australian players who cannot afford to take the higher prices from their dinner table, or overall budget.
