But for Alchemy Lab: I can at least say that I’ll get use out of levels 2 and 5, just on a semi-frequent basis for competing in challenge events. I can at the very least see some use for those levels, as I may be able to spend food instead of iron for the chance to get axes and bombs.

I’d love for you to convince me of the value of converting Battle Items.

I did some math in one of the Beta threads and was struggling to see the value.

This was based on the premise of a player who has a stockpile of 20,000 1* Battle Items, after playing for 2 years:

This is where I’m struggling to see that as a useful purpose for the Alchemy Lab.

That will take 111 days and 56 million Food to yield around 1300 items.

You’ll get around 5300 Alkashards. So no bonus item even.

And then what?

It’s taken you 2 years to build that stockpile, right? Once you’ve burned through those items will you have any use for the Alchemy Lab?

And to contrast that with just making the Battle Items directly, you’ll end up with around 266 each of Axes, Potent Healing, Mana Potion, Bear Banners, and Turtle Banners, which would have cost:

• Bear Banners: 1540k Iron, 266 Crystal Shards, 532 Metal Ores, 266 Crypt Mushrooms

• Turtle Banners: 2269k Iron, 266 Sunspire Feathers, 266 Potent Leaves, 532 Firestones

• Axes: 3165k Iron, 266 Metal Ores, 266 Crypt Mushrooms, 266 Hardwood Lumber

• Potent Healing: 4416k Food, 266 Fine Steel, 266 Potent Leaves, 266 Firestones

• Mana: 5719k Food, 266 Grimoire Dust, 266 Midnight Roots, 266 Potent Leaves

And it would take around 3 days of Forge time vs. 111 days of Alchemy Lab time.

And about 17 million Iron/Food in total vs. 56 million Food using the Alchemy Lab.

And you’ll use the Crafting Ingredients instead of the 1* Battle Items.

I’m having trouble getting excited about using it that way or recommending it to other people.

It seems like a lot of time and Food cost to make the same items I can make faster and cheaper already.

But I’m happy to be talked into that being useful.
