🧪 The Beta Beat (v22) [NOW RELEASED] – Sharing the Big Picture on What's Going on in Beta: New Buildings, Titan Battle Items & September/October HOTM

The last update was the one I mentioned when HOTM for September and October were added on Friday.

The current release appears considerably less buggy than previous ones — but is also the first release where some of the functionality can be tested properly at all.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Practice Battles or Raids Against Teammates in Alliance [MASTER]

Thank you @zephyr1 for the explanations and clarification, @Epigenetic for the self explanatory spread sheet.
The way forward, is to max out all features, mines, farms, houses, storage, and TCs (if not done) in readiness for the update and prepare for another round of very long grinding, get 365d VIP if you must, or face the long grinding on a single builder.,for sure everyone will be busy…

What is the building level requirement for converting to the Hunter’s lodge? Is it level 5 like the Barracks or does it need to be level 20 like the Advanced buildings?

Hi Zephir1, how I can become in a beta tester??

SG periodically opens Beta applications for new testers, and posts about it on the Forum in #news-announcements.

Many people apply, so only a small number are accepted out of the applications.

They last took new applications in February, I’m not sure if they have plans to take more applications again soon.

These threads had some discussion during the last application process, and may be of interest as well: Beta test games E&P and 5 Heroes You Would Change (buff/nerf) - beta application

Probably the same as the barracks, but i doubt there are any beta testers that still have a building below lvl 5 to check

Theres ways to get you in but you have to have a lot of leveled 5’s and even more 4’s. In addition you need lots of game knowledge and are willing to help with build and test suggestions. But people dont talk about that. We only refrence you to the sg beta tester requests when they come.

Sorry if this has been addressed, I tried to search the thread for answers first. Even though Hero Academy isn’t in beta yet, are most people saving all their extra 4* in anticipation of trading them in? I am maxed out on hero space and don’t want to buy more slots (currently at 150) and have at least a dozen 4* (on top of about 20+ 4*s that I actually plan to level) that I would like to recycle. I held them because that seemed to be the general consensus but my TC keeps giving me more. Safe to feed them you think?

It’s a personal choice.

When I asked Tim directly during the AMA, he told me it was premature to advise holding onto duplicate heroes for the Hero Academy, since they weren’t sure how it would end up working.

Nonetheless, I think roster space is cheaper than regret. So I’ve held onto duplicates, and bought more slots when needed.

Other people are choosing not to do that, and are eating duplicates.

My recommendation is to at least hold onto 5* and the rarest 4* heroes from Challenge and Seasonal Events, though I’m personally holding onto all of them.

Same here, but it’s getting tough. Like @JAWS_3D, I don’t want to buy more roster space if I can get by without it (but I have about half the space he does right now). Depending on the timeline for rolling out the Hero Academy (or at least, a pretty decent idea of how it will work), I might feed away a few 4-stars that I have duplicates of, but I will start with classic heroes on the assumption that a) they will be easier to draw again, since I can get them from TC20, and b) I would expect Hero Academy to have caveats like “you get classic heroes in trade for classic heroes, Atlantis heroes in trade for Atlantis heroes, etc.” So, even though I can’t imagine ever using three Danzaburos, those will be the duplicates I hang onto the longest, in hopes of trading them for a Wilbur or Proteus at some point. My 4 Li Xius, on the other hand, are likely to be the first to go. I’m loaded in yellow, and I could also probably get some benefit from using the dupes to level up one. (I have no Li Xius past 1^1 at the moment, but I do intend to level at least one.)

I think that’s a reasonable possibility, but I actually would be a proponent against those limitations, as I’d like to facilitate a path for F2P/C2P players to turn long periods of farming TC20 into the possibility of heroes from Atlantis etc.

But absolutely anything is just speculation at this point.

From your lips to SGG’s ears, my brother. As F2P, I’d love to have a better shot at Tarlak or Kage, or even Wilbur and Proteus, as I mentioned. Having used Danza, Ameonna, and Poseidon, I feel like Atlantis heroes are generally a cut above.

Is there a counter in titan battles that shows how many harpoons are needed to cause a Titan part to drop? Or how many harpoons the Alliance has used?

both.
there will be 4 numbers. 1 on top and 3 on the bottom on a picture. The first one is how many harpoons were used, the remaining 3 are how many harpoons are needed for X parts

I’ll bet you. We will have to trade in 5 or more heroes and we will “randomly” get an “old HOTM”. Probably one you already have or Toth just to grind you after a 15 day research time. No GM S2 just a list like Toth Mushy Nat Perseus etc.

I’d be surprised if it’s ever anything more then a TC20 hero chance.

That’s roughly my guess too, that if anything it would be older generation HOTM that have already made their rounds through Atlantis.

If this happens I’ll be all in for trading #dupesfordel.
