Let me start by saying some people will disagree with me because seems like human nature will complain no matter what. With that being said I am a middle of the road spender, and from the beginning when I press purchase there’s been no mystery about what i would get and the chances of getting it. But I would like to say that the winter fun specials have been a great value. For instance $1.99 to be able to get a magic Orb 300 gems and so on. Never have I been able to get so many valuable ascension items for a fair price without a gamble! Yes I’ve had to pay some money but compared to the rest of the year I would say it’s the best money I spend. Today’s special for instance $6.99 for a hidden Blade, a warm cape and I believe it was 900 gems. During regular play I might have to wait a couple of months to receive one of these items and I participate in all the challenge events ,war, and titan slaying. So I guess I’m just saying thanks for at least one month out of the year giving budget minded spenders such a good value. This is just my opinion of course and please don’t turn this into a negative post because I am sick of seeing them. Merry Christmas and happy new year to all !

Agreed! I spent a lot at the beginning, now scaled back to a moderate spender with a budgeted amount. There have been several good offers on the calendar this month, I have bought several but not all. Basically I wait now for special deals anyway……. it’s awesome getting some rare ascension mats along with gems at a decent price.
It was literally this same winter calendar last year that got me to start spending, after 6-7 months of F2P.

It is so easy to get sucked in to spending. If I weren’t so dedicated to the complete cessation of all spending, I would totally buy the $7 deal today for a blade and a cape… sooo tempting.
These deals are worth more than buying gems straight up and trading them for 3* heroes.
Also: I get Ulmer from epic tokens so I can’t even trust those anymore. Creeeper.

I am from Spain, and your 1.99$ orb + 300 gems is 2.29€ orb +200 gems for me. Also, the today’s offer for you is 6.99$ 900 gems blade and cape (without epic token or with it?) Mine was 7.99€ for 700 gems, cape, blade and token.
I though the offers were the same to everybody, am I not correct?

Nope. In Europe, they add the Value Added Tax and stuff.

I got that it is more expensive (even with dollar being cheaper than euro) What I don’t get is more crystals for same base value. If it is that way then europe is in disatvantage xD
The gem amounts were 200 and 700 here in the US for me. Perhaps the OP just remembered wrong.
That is what I thought. If I remember properly, the companty set the offer and the base price, and then the princing company (google, apple, whatever), calculate the amount in the local currency and add their cut and the taxes.
For getting on topic, I usually buy the one and two euro offers. This one of 8 today was tempting… but I’m gonna skip it and attach to my spend policy

The deals have been amazing, I now have the materials to almost level a full 5 star rainbow team. I collected a lot of material’s thought sheer luck. The special offers have helped feel in some gaps. Things like missing 2 rings… or the fact was short a single scope. These things added up quickly. I appreciated it. The gem’s have also been fairly nice to get.

I’m enjoying it too. I played 18 month (2 accounts) without spending a penny. I’ve built solid, if not exciting rosters and have never felt like I haven’t been able to play (compete).
I’ll never be a top player and that’s never been my ambition.
I only started spending money on this Christmas special. I bought some of the smaller offers and one for $40. I actually regret buying the larger package, not because I couldn’t afford it, but I found it was a disappointment.
I’ll stick to the smaller offers, especially ones with ascension items.
I get a kick out of buying them and I’m fine with the fact that they won’t make me a top player.
Same boat for me. I always take care of all my financial responsibilities and it’s been nice to get some very hard to get ascension items on the budget price 
these deals have been amazing. allowed us to help manage our less fortunate in our alliance be able to finally make some ten spins and one of our FTP players received guinevere during the event. TY SG for helping to make sure everyone gets a chance to enjoy their play during the holidays.
