Hello everyone! I’ve been playing for a little over a year now and still have not been able to to get a good sense of what my main team should be. Was hoping for some help and advice who I should use as well as a good Def team. I have placed screen shots of my current available heroes.
For longtime defense team, once you get these to their 4th ascension, I would recommend one of the following:
Evelyn | Queen of Hearts | Aegir | Vivica | Victor
or if you don’t care about a rainbow defense team:
Evelyn | Kunchen | Aegir | Queen of Hearts | Victor
Reasons:
QoH and Aegir have great color synergy, and their skills play well with each other. Aegir’s spirit link shares damage, but the weakness of that is that the opponent can target the hero with the weakest defense and share more damage between your team that way. However, Queen of Heart’s taunt minion will prevent that from happening.
Aegir wants a healer’s support to keep spirit link going. His attack health recovery boost thing isn’t enough to keep the whole team alive.
Vivica grants a +63% defense boost, but it can be overwritten by Aegir’s +30% defense boost; it’s a minor detail honestly, personally I don’t think it’s that big of a deal as a defense boost is a defense boost, and will prevent your team from being weak to defense debuffers – which is another popular tactic to deal with teams that tank with Aegir.
Kunchen doesn’t conflict with Aegir’s defense boost, but recovers slightly less HP with his heal than Vivica, which is a small and easily overlooked detail.
Evelyn and Victor were chosen as flanks, because they’re fast and very fast respectively. Evelyn is a great dispeller and hits hard. Victor is all about draining health from the opposition and preventing health recovery, while he stays alive safely in the corner.
The choice between either Vivica or Kunchen… that’s up to you. Honestly I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. Luckily I think you have the right combination of heroes to make an Aegir tank work very well.

Any advice on main attack team?
Well for attack teams you usually want to switch it up depending on the teams you face or the situations. Doubling up strong color on the tank, or going with specific heroes that counter other tanks; for e.g. Kiril is a counter to Santa Claus, because he overwrites his debuffs with buffs.
I’m noticing you don’t have many maxed 4 stars, which for a long time will be part of your attack teams. You’ll want a wider bench of attacking heroes for alliance wars too.
I’d recommend working on some of these heroes. If you are missing the epic ascension items for the 5 stars, then all the more reason to work on them too. A deep bench = more possibilities for those goodies:
Purple: Proteus, then Tiburtus
Yellow: G. Jackal, then Li Xiu
Blue: Sonya, then Grimm
Green: Cademon, then Melendor
Red: Sir Lancelot, then Scarlett
Start off with those, imo that’ll give you a good selection of heroes to stack colors during wars and raids.
For the attacking 5 stars you’ve already got Evelyn (she’s good attacking too). Magni is a nice one too and he’s almost ascended. Aegir is good against red titans and in the campaign, he can be good in against some raid teams that rely on hard hitting fast snipers. You’ve got Marjana as well, but she’s a long way from getting there, and will take longer than it will to max Lancelot and Scarlett

@DaveCozy Thanks Dave. I made the mistake of trying to get my 5* heroes to 3/70 thinking it was better than 4* 4/70. If this helps, I have 2 Damascus blades and 2 tomb of tactics. I’m 1 1 tabbard away from being able to ascend Kunchen or Victor and 2 rings away from being able to ascend QoH.
I’ll start working on maxing out those 4*.
