Next months hero will be awesome depending on the upon release balance.

Past seasons have generally had some “late” heroes being released after the last provinces appeared, so if doing a 50-pull I would wait… a single pull would be different, but with a 50-pull it would be worth waiting. Unless maybe you really want one of the available heroes now, and want to get them before more heroes join the pool
I have gone VC2P (except for the Valor Pass & 2nd builder). I stopped after Dec Balance update came out.
The reason is that they release heroes, pocket my money & then nerf/balance the heroes at their whim & fancy.
Not spending a dime on them anymore.
Enjoying the extra cash & the goodies it brings - more outings with family & friends, etc.
Most importantly, it feels actually good to play with what I have rather than ‘chase newer heroes endlessly, then wait for ascension mats, aethers etc & by the time they are LB+ Emblemed’, the new heroes are nerfed/balanced

The “wait for it” people are adding an additional cost… for what they percieve is going to be a reward. Problem is that they under-estimate the cost and over-estmate the reward. You’ll always be waiting. I’d pull until I got the HotM. After that I’d stop. Not because the HotM is amazing… but because it moderates my play. I little pull now, and a little wait for it, is probably better in the long term than either extreme.

Imagine you’d pull Set…and the disappointment it would follow. There are two known S5 heroes to be released - Anubis and Meresankh. Both are much more interesting than these options.

Hulda came at the very end of s4, i presume there is a highly desirable s5 in the pipeline…

It’s up to you, I went through the whole Dune and was very disappointed in the summons(( I did 17 summons and not a single legendary hero, not even a classic one. from the summon 1 Azmiya, Grimm and Chao. All other three-star heroes that no one needs for nothing. In our country war and I would rather spend money on supporting the army than on this game where there is no certainty that you will not be abandoned (deceived) again.

People saying wait for better heros. In my experience i will wait for a featured hero i want summon and get a non featured hero more often than the featured hero i want.
Working on finishing S5 myself, saving up coins plus what passes for the end-of-season reward…
with zero S5 5* so far, if I’m going to get to maybe only ever get one, I’d prefer it to be one of the arguably all-around better S5 5* than the current featured crop.
On the other hand, current indications are that the March HotM could be an execrable joke, so what, I’m waiting until April? Later?
It’s hard to balance “I don’t want my one best remaining chance, outside of repeatedly opening my wallet, to wind up being a hero I might not use much” versus “I’ve been losing to S5 heroes for a year already and I really need some new heroes,” especially given that the analysis-paralysis is probably a moot point since the most likely result is just one more
