Struggling defense

My struggling defense consisted of:
(Left to Right)

Rigard (4-70, Talent=6)
Sonya (4-70, Talent=7)
Kashhrek (4-70, Talent=4)
Zim (4-38)
Grimm (4-70, Talent=4)
Total Power = 3623

I would toggle between mid and high end of Platinum sometimes dropping almost out of Platinum after an extensive break from the game.

Since I recently maxed a Proteus I decided to drain Kashhrek’s emblems and give them to Proteus since Jinx is kind of pointless on Kash who is weak on attack.

Now my lineup is this (below) but I’m having regrets about leaving Kash out. Should I swap out Zim? She’s my strongest (power) hero though.

I also have:
Wu Kong (4-70, Talent=7)
Boldtusk (4-50)
Kirill (4-33)
Khagan (3-51)
Wilbur (4-37)
Melendor (4-41)
Mad Hatter (3-51)
Caedmon (4-21)

The great thing about tweaking defenses is that you can pretty quickly see how your “equilibrium cups” changes. Raid your cups up, set a new defence, and see where you settle back to.

Kashhrek is a great tank, particularly with emblems.

I might try: Zim / Grimm / Kashhrek / Proteus / Rigard

I’m not happy about the healer in the corner, but I want those two powerful average-speed hitters on flank. Fast Zim in the corner will be fine, and clear off any blinds or other ailments before the hitters start their work.

What was the reason for excluding Sonya? (Asking for a friend  )

There are only 5 slots, and she adds the least, IMO. If you want a more aggressive build, drop Rigard and put Sonya in a corner, not next to Grimm. This could be a better build, because Zim can handle the cleanse and heals herself, and Sonya is fairly robust.
