I have run into the problem that I have all of my highly used 4* & 5* sorcerers maxed out on emblems. I don’t emblem 3’s because I don’t use them enough. I am F2P so new prospects are few and far between. I also don’t necessarily like hoarding them for a hero I may never get. They don’t do anyone any good in a pile at my base. I do have plenty of resets.
At the 4* and 5* level (including 5*’s mat stuck at 3:70) my only options are Skittleskull with costume and Ameonna.
Skittleskull has the costume, which helps. I also have Horghall maxed. They would certainly be comparable I would think. Horghall is more survivable, but with costume and emblem bonus Skittleskull would be faster. Aside from tinkering in PvP, which I do often, they would predominantly be PvP. Not sure the A value goes high enough to be in my titan team (I doubt it).
Ameonna I play with for kicks in PvP. Not so much PvE, aside from some weird unique situation. My thought though is with emblems her A value would be high enough to end up in my titan team. I still get her boost even if she dies. I mostly fight 9*’s.
Always eager to hear if anyone uses either of these heroes. I got Skittleskull late so never played much with her.
I had emblems on Skittleskull for over a year because Skittleskull and Sabina were my best two sorcerers. I’ve since gotten better ones, stripped Skittleskull, and haven’t used her since.
But seems like you’re in a very similar situation, so definitely can be a good thing to do.
As for Ameonna, I like the logic of high titan damage. How much higher would it be compared to the next best hero? It would have to be a sizeable leap for me to make that investment.
I’ll present a third choice. Wait for Chesire Cat.
First you could get lucky during challenge festival.
But even if you don’t, it sounds hero academy will be a solid source.
If you have excess food/iron/reset tokens, then emblem now and worry about Chesire Cat later.
Using her against 14* Titans… the high attack stat is great and 39% attack debuff helps team survivability.
Think she survives 1 shot but don’t remember for sure.
Her attack is insane that’s basically it, she can be a fun hero to play with ghost mode and snipers waste there special on yah… I don’t use as much now though . Mainly titans I also got Ss quite late aswell iv never really used expect trails and 4* rush tournaments @Noble_Weasel had one +20 maybe give some pointers.
Thanks for the tag, @Dudeious.Maximus . I was going to respond to this, but I lost track of the thread before I could. At one time, I had Skittles at +c18 and Ameonna at +19 or +20. I didn’t use either of them a ton, but I used Ameonna more. Against the baby titans we fight, she wasn’t too hard to keep alive, and her attack when ghosted is amazing. She also had some niche usage in late war teams, where her ghost mode functions like a 20% blind (with all five heroes still up). Skittles’ attack stat still had her on my titan team for a while, but I didn’t need the attack down, and the slow special was a drawback. I also used the costume form on cleric trials for a long time, since my clerics did (and kinda still do) suck. Ultimately, I got Krampus and blew them both up to buff him into a monster. Haven’t had a reason to emblem either of them since, as I’ve been buffing Quintus with sorcerer emblems lately.
I have maxed a costumed Skittle to 20 talent nodes. I used her only in VF war ,low Tavern and Tower event levels. For these level emblems are not necessary. So I stripped the emblems from her to give them to Vanda. Had a lot of luck and got her on Halloween. I think a second or third Sabina+20 would be more useful as Skittle.
But this depends on your roster. IMO Ameona is of very limited use…
I just got mine to +20. He is a real beast especially when boosted by Boldtusk, Glenda, Kiril, etc. Of the enemies D is dropped too ….
Thinking about this more, on a yellow titan (not counting rares) two slots are taken by Athena and Ranvir. I already have 3 purple heroes with A’s in the 800’s that survive better, so maybe not after more consideration.
We am a weirdo who doesn’t do dupes, hence the problem I guess. Otherwise you would be right.
Maybe I will run a a comparison of Horghall to costume Skittles (and un costumes). See if the damage boost warrants emblems not sitting around versus survivability of Horghall. I haven’t tinkered much with Horghall since maxing him…. either way I will see how Festival goes. You never know
Normally you are right with the dupes, but IMO healers are a different thing. In some war formats ( arrows, VF) its absolutely necessary to have 12 healers. I have 2 cRigards maxed, working on second Sabina,Kiril and cBoldtusk, to have good color options for wars.
But wars are my favorite content…
I use C-Skittleskull mainly for titans (14*). I thought a regular defence down (Buddy/Dolgoon) would benefit my titan team more (I have Almur). However, I enjoy her high attack stat, and attack down. She has made a big difference to my titan scores, helping me get new personal bests.
