I think it s not really normal. Alasie mana reduction do nothing on Boss Wolf (Stage 10 Grimforest)
Mana icon is refreshed but … no change
That’s because Boss Wolfs mana generation can’t be dispelled. So it’s there no matter, what you do. It can’t be replaced or debuffed! 
I didn’t consider Alasie"s spell like a dispell but ok.
