I honestly get a lil tired writing feedback when it comes to certain new mechanics getting added to this game - that are universally looked upon as negative - and explaining why I think so. Been doing this for 2 1/2 years now and I’m tired of expending so much energy talking to a freaking wall
So instead of elaborating, imma just paste what I wrote elsewhere and never sent (cuz I’ve also become disenchanted with this whole forum experience, that I don’t even bother interacting here anymore either ), with the headline:
Limit Breakers are NOT what we need right now
How can I put this [explicitly]?! I’m really not a fan . Like, what do we need yet another resource-intensive bottleneck for, when we’re still working out emblems, and hell, even 4* mats?! Shouldn’t this be something that’s considered once, idk, most of the player-base can field at least six +20 5* teams for war?! Why create even more of a disparity between those who pay (cuz we know you’re gonna sell these), and those who’ve been playing longer/more often, vs those who don’t? What a nightmare it’d be to start a year from now with the intention of “catching up” I can’t even fathom…
The thing with limit breakers is, it completely negates the need for pulling heroes, and leveling for variety: why even bother summoning for, and collecting, all of these heroes, when only a select few can be used?! & Sure, even if you do happen to pull that highly coveted hero - one you would definitely max/emblem/break in a heartbeat - how long til you can even get em up and running so that they are playable?! Not only that, but once you do finally get em there, will they still be the rockstar they once were when you decided to pull for em in the first place? & Even if they are, really, how much longer do you think you have [with em] til they’re not? Whatcha gonna do then?
As nowadays, there’s numerous, and enormous, hoops to jump through before a hero becomes [realistically] playable. & All of this while hoping that your investment doesn’t become inexplicably tarnished before the ever-so-lengthy process commences. Limit breakers not only lacks the ability to address this issue, but compounds it.
Once upon a time, the only reliably useful heroes were the maxed ones (so, you had like 50 solid options). Then, with emblems, it became only those with +20 (so now, maybe 20 of those 50). Limit breakers? Now, maybe you’ll luck out into 10… See my point? How narrow does the field of play need to get before it’s no longer even fun?! When it takes you several months just to finish a team of 5* - all while completely neglecting, and ignoring, your other 100+ heroes that you totally would use if the game would just allow for it - only to realize that a month later, those very heroes are no longer near as relevant as the next wave that’s just rolled in… *sigh *
It only exacerbates the monotony of being forced to use the same ole heroes for every damn thing without addressing, or adding, anything of intrinsic value [to the game] as compensation. Ya can’t go back with mats, and that’s bad enough; whoever you do max, you’re stuck with em for life. Add in limit breakers, and suddenly there’s a whole lot less room remaining for testing unique setups, and getting excited about niche heroes. Instead, you’re relegated into only maxing the best of the best , and forgoing the heroes that actually look like fun, just because they’re not titan/war specialists… (cuz ya know, gotta stay practical for those mats )
After awhile, that gets boring… even with the best of the best. The mechanics of this game never really change (match-3 thru and thru). The various play methods rarely change (titans, PvP, PvE). The only thing that spices things up is having new SS and having numerous (NT), and various (tournies), avenues to use em in: places where you can access a multitude of SS, and allow otherwise benched heroes a chance to shine. So shouldn’t we be trying to expand on that aspect some more?! That’s the true draw here, where the real fun lies, so my common sense tells me "uh… doi "
/end previously unsent pasted snippet
So scrap em, forget about em, and maybe revisit this idea when most people find they’re ready for the next step (which if I’m being honest, won’t be for at least another year)
& For now? Focus on literally anything else. There’s a ton more for you to do before ever even considering this. *Cough cough * QoL updates *cough cough *
(but you’re not gonna listen to any of us so what’s the point, right?)
That’s what I thought; gonna go back to my corner now…
